Plasma Soluble Urokinase Plasminogen Activator Receptor and Behçet's Disease .
Behçet DiseaseThe purpose of the study is to determine whether plasma levels of the soluble urokinase plasminogen activator(suPAR) can serve as a blood-based biomarker for diagnosis of Behçet's disease and its correlation with disease activity.
Familial Mediterranean Fever and Behçet: Analysis Before and After Covid19 Pandemic
Behcet DiseaseCOVID1 moreBehcet' disease (BD) is a chronic inflammatory disease which is characterized by oral and genital ulcers, uveitis and skin lesions. Musculoskeletal involvement such as arthrits, arthralgia, enthesis and sacroiliitis can be seen in course of BD. FMF is an autosomal recessive family disease characterized by abdominal pain, chest pain, joint pain and fever attacks as a result of inflammation of the serous membranes. FMF patients have been shown to experience higher levels of pain, fatigue, depression and anxiety than healthy controls, and this has increased sleep disturbance and reduced quality of life. FMF and BiH have common characteristics such as ethnicity, etiopathogenetic mechanisms, symptoms, and treatment. In December 2019, after the officially detected coronavirus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coranavirus-2 [SARS-CoV-2]) resistant to unknown treatment and rapidly spreading coronavirus in our country on March 11, 2020 in Hubei province of China, the number of cases increased rapidly and virus was isolated in 670 patients within 10 days. Ongoing concerns about the spread of Covid-19 infections have caused many measures to be taken. Among them, social isolation, home quarantine and avoiding collective places are the most important. In our country, in the process of social isolation, the areas of movement of Behçet and FMF patients, like everyone else, were restricted, their stress and anxiety levels increased and their motivation decreased. The aim of our study is to compare the pain, sleep, fatigue, physical activity level and quality of life and question exercise habits before and after the covid-19 outbreak in patients with Behçet and FMF.
Serologic Profile of SARS CoV2 in COVID-19 Patients With Systemic Diseases
SARS-CoV InfectionSystemic Disease7 moreAn observational study aiming to assess the serological profile of SARS-Cov2 patients with systemic diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren syndrome, sarcoidosis, inflammatory myopathies, Behçet's disease, Rheumatoid arthritis and Spondyloarthritis
Observational Study of the Genetic Architecture of Neutrophil-Mediated Inflammatory Skin Diseases...
Other Specified Inflammatory Disorders of Skin or Subcutaneous TissuePyoderma Gangrenosum26 moreThis study investigates the genetic architecture of Neutrophil-Mediated Inflammatory Skin Diseases. After collecting informed consent, all patients' clinical phenotype is graded at inclusion with a detailed case report form and a discovery cohort formed based on the certainty of diagnosis. The DNA of patients in the discovery cohort is analyzed by whole exome sequencing which identifies all protein-coding genetic variants. Subsequently, statistical burden tests are going to identify enrichment of rare coding genetic variants in patients affected by Neutrophil-Mediated Inflammatory Skin Diseases. The ultimate goal is to reveal the responsible gene(s) that may then be targets for clinical intervention.
Pilot Project: The Amplicon and Metatranscriptomic Study of Intra and Extra Intestinal Microbiome...
Autoimmune UveitisBehçet Disease6 moreThis study aimed to discover the composition on the microbiome in several sites of the human body; and to find out the difference in microbiome composition on ocular fluid, blood, and feces before and after therapy in uveitis patient with history of autoimmune disease (Behcet and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada) and idiopathic uveitis
Behçet's Disease Overall Damage Index
Behçet DiseaseBehcet's Disease AggravatedDamage in vasculitis, as well as in other chronic inflammatory disorders, accrues over time resulting in impairment of quality of life, development of disability and increased mortality. For these reasons, damage represents an important outcome to be assessed and measured both in trials and clinical practice. Currently, the most widely used assessment tool for damage in vasculitis is the Vasculitis Damage Index (VDI). However, VDI was developed for a no specific type of vasculitis and it appears to be more suitable for damage assessment in ANCA-associated vasculitis than in Behçet' disease (BD). BD is a chronic and multisystem inflammatory disorder classified among vasculitides. As well as in other vasculitides, disease activity and treatment in BD can result in the development and accumulation of irreversible organ damage, such as blindness, tissue loss and a wide range of neurologic disorders. Recently the OMERACT has defined the Core Set domain of Outcome Measures for BD. Despite damage is included in the OMERACT outcome core set for rheumatic disease, a specific assessment tool for BD is currently not available. The aim of this study is to develop and validate the first tool for describing and measuring organ damage in patients with Behçet Disease (Behçet's disease Overall Damage index - BODI).
Biomarkers of Common Eye Diseases
UveitisDiabetic Retinopathy4 moreTo identify biomarkers of common eye diseases based on single-cell sequencing technologies using PBMC samples. These diseases include uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and polypoid choroidal vasculopathy. Our study may provide new insight into the underlying mechanisms, and reveal novel predictors and intervention targets for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of these diseases.
