In a recently published meta-analysis (Sharaiha, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2017), it is reported that percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) is less clinical successful, causes more adverse events and needs more re-interventions than endoscopic ultrasound guided biliary drainage (EUBD) in patients with malignant, extrahepatic bile duct obstruction. The conclusion was, that EUBD should be prefered in this clinical setting in future. An improved technique of PTBD may provide better results for coming comparative studies. The investigators of this retrospective study therefore analyzed all PTBDs that were performed in a period of nine years in a tertiary referral hospital. In this cohort, the analysis focused on PTBDs with primary metal stent implantation by endoscopic luminal guidance.

This registry is to evaluate the procedural and clinical outcomes in patients undergoing endoscopic treatment of bile duct stones when utilizing an algorithmic management approach.

This is a compassionate use protocol of an investigational new drug (IND). The overall purpose of the treatment is to offer alternative treatment to children who developed parenteral nutrition-associated liver disease (PNALD) and have not responded positively to currently available medical therapies. PNALD develops in newborns dependent on parenteral nutrition (PN) and are unable to tolerate adequate enteral feedings to support fluid and nutritional fluids; although PN is necessary and life sustaining, it can result in severe liver disease.

The purpose of this study is to provide intravenous omega-3 fatty acids and monitor tolerance in subjects with prolonged parenteral nutrition dependence and parenteral nutrition-associated cholestasis through expanded access.

Induction of Labour in Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) has become a common procedure in management of ICP to avoid fetal complications. Surprisingly, this empirical approach has not been evaluated as to delivery complications and fetal outcome as yet. The investigators now examine weather ICP affects (i) delivery procedures chosen, in particular the incidence of caesarian section, (ii)fetal and maternal outcome in induced labor, and (iii)possible impact of bile acids and UDCA treatment in a retrospective cohort study based on approximately 5000 induced deliveries at Danderyd Hospital, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. The investigators analyze data on on previous deliveries, BMI, medical history and medical book data. Primary endpoint is the risk of caesarian section.

Retrospective study of all patients diagnosed with primary biliary cholangitis during January 2001 to July 2016 at West China Hospital by review of medical records. The following variables will be retrospectively studied: age, sex, first symptoms, clinical characteristics, pathology, treatment, stage, complications of cirrhosis, other autoimmune diseases and long-term outcome.
