Observational Study to Investigate the Occurrence of Bleeding in Postmenopausal Women Treated With...
MenopausePostmenopausal BleedingThis study is conducted in Europe. The primary aim of this observational study is to investigate the occurrence of bleeding in women taking 0.5 mg estradiol and 0.1 mg norethisterone acetate (NETA) for 12 months.
Endocrine Dysfunction and Quality of Life After Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Endocrine DysfunctionCerebral Infarctions1 moreInvestigation of the incidence of endocrine dysfunction following subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and to see if this has a relation to CNS lesions as evaluated by MRI and to common symptoms after SAH such as general exhaustion, lack of initiative, increased sleep demand and reduced quality of life.
Bowel Preparation and Prokinetics in Capsule Endoscopy
Small Bowel DiseaseGastrointestinal Hemorrhage1 moreThe aim of this study is to determine whether taking bowel preparation (citramag and senna) or a medicine to speed up transit through the stomach (metoclopramide), will improve the quality of the images seen, increase the transit through the small bowel, and increase the rate of completion of capsule endoscopy. The secondary objective is to determine whether patients could routinely tolerate this bowel preparation prior to capsule endoscopy and whether the diagnostic yield of capsule endoscopy is improved.
Impact of Heparin on the Need for Mechanical Ventilation in Neonates
RespirationArtificial1 moreThis study is designed to test an incidental finding of a previous trial in which post hoc analysis showed that the rate of intensive care newborns requiring mechanical ventilation was lower in the group receiving heparin with the continuous infusion as compared to the placebo group.
Venous Thromboembolism and Bleeding Risk in Patients With Esophageal Cancer
Venous ThromboembolismEsophagus Cancer2 moreThis study aims to assess the 6- and 12-month venous thromboembolism (VTE) and bleeding incidence from the start of cancer diagnosis in a retrospective cohort of patients with esophageal cancer. Additionally, the predictive value of the Khorana score and several other VTE and bleeding prediction scores and risk factors will be evaluated.
Patients With Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Emergency Department
Upper Gastrointestinal BleedingMore than 80% of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) are hospitalized after their visit to the emergency department (ED). However, some of these hospitalizations do not seem justified. Several clinical scores have been developed to classify patients according to their risk of death or need for therapeutic intervention. The aims of this study are: to describe the characteristics of patients hospitalized for UGIB after their visit to the ED to assess the predictive factors of hospital intervention or death to assess the accuracy of existing prognostic scores to classify patients according their risk of death or need for therapeutic intervention (external validation) and to identify low-risk patients not requiring intervention. Depending on the results, a new score could be derived to identify patients at low risk for intervention or death.
Observation of Long-term Effects on Endometrium and Uterine Fibroids in Women With Ulipristal Acetate...
MyomaUterine Bleeding4 moreA prospective observational study on italian women undergoing ulipristal acetate (uPa) therapy for symptomatic myomas and its impact on symptomatology and moreover on myomas architecture. We also evaluate changes in the endometrial pattern of selected women.
Validation of the FOUR Coma Scale in Russia.
StrokeTraumatic Brain Injury1 moreThe purpose of this study is to examine the validity of the Russian version of the FOUR Full Outline of UnResponsiveness (hereafter FOUR) scale in adult ICU patients with an acute cerebral insufficiency clinic (hereinafter referred to as OTSN). Compare the accuracy and predictive significance of FOUR when used by an ICU specialist, a neurologist, nursing staff, during bedside and telemedicine Examinations.
Postpartum Hemorrhage After Shenghua Decoction Treatment
Postpartum HemorrhageA rare case of disastrous delayed postpartum hemorrhage after three days of shenghua decoction treatment.
Detection of Myocardial Dysfunction in Non-severe Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (WFNS 1-2) Using Speckle-tracking...
Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH)Left Ventricular Dysfunction1 moreSubarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) can cause transient myocardial dysfunction. Recently, it have been reported that myocardial dysfunctions that occur in SAH are associated with poor outcomes. It therefore appears essential to detect theses dysfunctions with the higher sensitivity as possible. Strain measurement using speckle-tracking echocardiography may detect myocardial dysfunction with great sensitivity. The main objective of this study is to assess the prevalence of myocardial dysfunction in "non-severe" SAH (defined by a WFNS grade 1 or 2), using speckle-tracking echocardiography. This study also aims to analyse Strain measurement with classical echocardiography and serum markers (troponin, BNP) of cardiac dysfunction.
