Examining Digital Health Care Delivery Models Through Medicaid Collaborative
HypertensionDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThe purpose of this study is to examine the intervention effectiveness and dissemination of digital health care delivery models for improving selected health outcomes in the Medicaid population.

Effect of Labetalol, Atenolol, and Nifedipine on Maternal Hemodynamics Measured by ICG in Early...
Systolic HypertensionPregnancy Related5 moreThe purpose of the research is to characterize the effect of labetalol, atenolol, and nifedipine on maternal hemodynamics early in pregnancy. Patients will be given medication based on their hemodynamics and asked to return for a repeat measurement.

Exercise Hemodynamic, Right Ventricular Coupling and Echocardiography in Pulmonary Hypertension...
HypertensionPulmonary2 moreThis study aims to investigate the exercise profile in pulmonary hypertension patients with either pulmonary arterial hypertension, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension or pulmonary hypertension due to left heart disease and in disease control.

Study of Disrupted Sleep in Somali Americans
HypertensionSleep Disorder1 moreThe aims of this study are to determine the types and severity of previously undiagnosed sleep deficiencies in otherwise healthy Somali Americans, apply a research framework to define psychosocial, behavioral, environmental, and biological mechanisms mediating sleep deficiencies in Somali Americans, and examine the relationship between sleep deficiencies and increased blood pressure in Somali Americans.

Predicting Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure After Surgical Intervention in Chronic Liver Disease
Liver CirrhosisPortal Hypertension3 moreProspective, observational study to define precipitants and predictors of development of Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF) after surgical interventions, allowing to develop a risk stratification for elective procedures in cirrhotic patients. As well as identifying molecular mechanisms of post-interventional ACLF and thus preparing the ground for development of new therapeutic approaches.

Assessment of the TGF-beta Pathway and Micro-RNA in Pediatric Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThis is a prospective pilot study to assess the plasma levels of particular proteins involved in the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) pathway and its down stream regulators, CHIP, as well as micro RNA molecules in subjects with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and compare them to control subjects without PAH to see if they can be used as a diagnostic or prognostic marker of PAH and how this compares to other diagnostic biomarkers N-terminal pro-natriuretic peptide (NT Pro-BNP) and C-reactive protein (CRP).

Multiparametric Cardio-hepatic MRI in Patients With Noncirrhotic Portal Hypertension
HypertensionPortal1 moreThe aim of this study is to use multiparametric MRI to investigate any differences in myocardial structure and function in patients with noncirrhotic portal hypertension compared with a control group with liver cirrhosis.

Walk Together: A Family-Based Intervention for Hypertension In African Americans
HypertensionFamily RelationsThe goal of this study is to determine the feasibility and acceptability of a novel family-based hypertension self-management intervention, Walk Together, adapted from an existing empirically-supported dyadic intervention, for implementation in primary care.

CT-based HVPG Assessment for Predicting the Prognosis of HCC With TACE (CHANCE-CHESS 2302)
Hepatocellular CarcinomaPortal HypertensionThis study aims to evaluate the impact of non-invasive CT-based Hepatic Venous Pressure Gradient (HVPG) assessment on prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients treated with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE).

Pilot Study Based on Technology Solutions for Hypertension Care
HypertensionBlood PressureThe goal of this clinical trial is to understand whether the adoption of digital solutions by healthcare professionals and patients improves the management of patients with high blood pressure. The main questions it aims to answer are: are these digital solutions feasible and well accepted by patients? can these solutions, compared to standard care, allow a better hypertension control in patients with high blood pressure? Participants randomised to one of the two intervention arms will be asked to adopt the digital solutions that include a smartphone app and 2 devices for blood pressure and body weight measurement that will be connected to the app. Researchers will compare patients randomised in the two intervention groups with patients randomised to standard care (control group)
