Detecting Occult Proximal Humeral Neck Fractures Through CT and MRI Tests of Patients With Greater...

Humeral Greater TuberosityHumeral Fractures/ Proximal1 more

Patients with greater tuberosity fractures is becoming increasingly common, as is the number of cases of humeral surgical neck fractures. This study investigated the relationship between size of greater tuberosity fragment and occurrence of humeral surgical neck fractures by using CT or MRI tests.

A Personalised Percutaneous External 3D Guide for Scaphoid Fixation

Scaphoid Bone Fracture

The investigators want to analyse the advantages of using a 3D constructed prototype from a previous CT Scan to model an external customised guide por percutaneous Scaphoid fixation. The investigators hypothesise that the usage of this device will shorten surgery time, radiation for the surgery team and optimise the percutaneous screw trajectory inside of the scaphoid bone.

Services Mapping Among Older Adults With Hip Fracture

Hip Fractures

Hip fracture is a osteoporosis-related fracture with higher mortality, and is a major public health issue in China. The British Orthopedic Association and the British Geriatric Society have published the UK Blue Book, which summarizes current evidence and best practice in the hip fracture care and secondary prevention, but this kind of standardized practice in hip fracture care is not yet existed in China. The Blue Book standards will be used as the most contemporary evidence-based guidelines for management of hip fracture. This study is to prospectively examine the barriers and facilitators in the current management of hospital in China by comparing the Blue Book standards.

Clinical and Radiologic Follow up of Subchondral Fractures of the Glenoid

Subchondral Fractures of the Glenoid

in this study the investigators will call patients who had Subchondral fractures and treated in our department over the last 20 years. The investigators will evaluate their shoulder function by a questionary, Constant score and radiologic evaluation.

OsteoporosisHumerus Fracture

Aim of the study is to analyze results of treatment of proximal humerus fractures with mini-invasive technique and plate fixation. In all the patients a analysis of presence of osteoporosis will be done, clinical and x-ray results will be statistically analyzed to evidence any connection between clinical outcomes and osteoporosis.

Possible Manifestation of Rhinitis After Nasal Fracture

Nasal Fracture

We would like to investigate our hypothesis of a higher prevalence of nasal fracture in the history of idiopathic rhinitis (IR) patients compared to healthy controls. Therefore a retrospective analysis of 310 patients with a nasal fracture in the past would be useful to investigate the incidence of IR in this cohort afterwards (5-10 y later).

The Treatment and Intra-operative Imaging of Scaphoid Fracture Reduction and Fixation

Scaphoid Fractures

Scaphoid fractures are the most common carpal bone fractures, and second most common wrist fractures (second to distal radius fractures). Lack of proper immobilization or displacement of these fractures commonly results in fracture nonunion or malunion followed by the development of wrist post-traumatic osteoarthritis. In addition, proper reduction and fixation of these fractures are challenging to the most experienced hand surgeons. The investigators are going to follow-up the patients population suffering from Scaphoid fractures(nonunion included) for one year. The investigators will evaluate this follow up results in two ways: Intra-operative imaging of scaphoid fracture fixation - feasibility evaluation. Treatment of scaphoid fracture non-union.
