A Retrospective, Multicenter, Controlled Clinical Trail: to Evaluate the Clinical Efficiency of...

Intracranial Aneurysm

the goal of this clinical trail is to evaluate the clinical efficiency of intracranial aneurysm assistive software in the morphological measurement. The trail is designed as retrospective, multicenter, controlled clinical trail. Collecting probable cases images retrospectively according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria strictly. Controlling bias strictly, to make sure the measurement of intracranial aneurysm assistive software is evaluated reliably and precisely. In our trail, six physicions were recruited, containing three neuroradiologists, two radiologists and a residents. Software-assistant planning controls against no software-assisant planning, which aims to evaluate the improvement of morphological measurement efficiency of physicians.

New Findings About Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SEP) During Surgery for Cerebral Aneurysms

Cerebral Aneurysm

During surgery, electrophysiological signals will be acquired with the instrument (ISIS IOM, NeuroExplore, Software Version 4.4, Inomed) already in use at the Neurosurgery Service of the Neurocentro of the Hospital Civic Italian Switzerland in Lugano. Simultaneously to Somatosensorial Evoked Potential (SEP) will also be recorded the Electroencephalography (EEG) activity with the same detection of locations. For the purposes of the study the signals transmitted to the neurosurgeon through the hardware and the corresponding assessments done by the neurophysiologist responsible for intraoperative monitoring will be recorded. It will also be kept track of procedures performed during surgery.

Impact of Ultra-Early Intracranial Aneurysm Treatment in SAH

Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

This is the first prospective study in Hong Kong that recruit patients with poor neurological status after intracranial aneurysm rupture in all seven public neurosurgical services in Hong Kong. This study assesses whether ultra-early aneurysm treatment improves outcomes in patients with poor neurological status after intracranial aneurysm rupture in Hong Kong. These data are essential to understand the impact of the disease and for future service development in Hong Kong.

Risk Factors of Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm.

Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm

According to the current view, cerebral aneurysms are acquired degenerative lesions resulting from hemodynamic stress. This single-center case-control study will be carried out at the Department of Neurosurgery, Regional Hospital in Sosnowiec, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland between June 2015 and June 2017. The aim of the study is to determine morphometric and hemodynamic parameters of aneurysmal and non-aneurysmal middle cerebral artery (MCA) bifurcations and to analyze their relationship with aneurysm formation. A minimum of 75 cases and 75 age- and sex-matched controls will be required for the study. Characteristics of the MCA bifurcations will be determined with computed tomography angiography (CTA) and transcranial color-coded sonography (TCCS). The following variables will be evaluated as potential risk factors for MCA aneurysm formation: radii and cross-sectional area of the main MCA trunk and its branches, tortuosity of MCA trunk, asymmetry ratio, area ratio, the angle between the post-bifurcation branches, the angles between the MCA trunk and the larger and smaller branch, volume flow rate, mean flow velocity and pulsatility index of the MCA. All morphometric and hemodynamic parameters will be assessed as potential risk factors for MCA aneurysm formation.

Establishment of Online Registration Platform for Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysms Based on 100...

Intracranial Aneurysm

In this study, 20 regional neurosurgery centers across the country will be included, and the study cohort will be constructed on the basis of the IARP-CP cohort. The artificial intelligence platform was used to analyze the clinical, morphological, hemodynamics, aneurysm wall characteristics and other factors of unruptured aneurysms, as well as the relationship between these factors and the risk of aneurysm instability, seek the potential risk factors, and finally establish a multi-dimensional prediction model of rupture risk of intracranial aneurysms.
