Camrelizumab Combined With SRT/WBRT and Chemotherapy in Patients With Brain Metastases of Driven...

Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer

This study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center clinical study. Target population is patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer who had not received systemic chemotherapy. Study objective is to compare the efficacy and safety of Camrelizumab + carboplatin/cisplatin + pemetrexed /paclitaxel / albumin paclitaxel ± SRT/WBRT with placebo + carboplatin/cisplatin + pemetrexed /paclitaxel / albumin paclitaxel ± SRT/WBRT. Camrelizumab is a humanized anti-PD1 IgG4 monoclonal antibody.

TKIs vs. Pertuzumab in HER2+ Breast Cancer Patients With Active Brain Metastases (HER2BRAIN)

HER2-positive Breast CancerBrain Metastases

This is a prospective, randomized, 2-arm, Phrase 2, superiority and multicenter study to compare the efficiency of Anti-HER2 TKI versus Pertuzumab in Combination With Dose-dense Trastuzumab and Taxane in HER2-positive breast cancer patients with active refractory brain metastases.

A Phase II Trial of Upfront Radiotherapy Plus Almonertinib for Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor(EGFR)-Mutant...

EGFR Positive Non-small Cell Lung CancerBrain Metastases

Almonertinib is a three-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKI), which has shown competitive potential in the second-line treatment against first-generation TKIs. This study intends to assess the efficacy and safety of stereotactic radiosurgery with sequential almonertinib in treatment-naive EGFR-mutant NSCLC patients with brain metastases.

Revision of the EORTC QLQ-BN20 Questionnaire

GliomaBrain Metastases1 more

Despite the fact that use of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Questionnaire - Brain Neoplasm (QLQ-BN20) has tremendously contributed to insight into the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of brain tumor patients, certain items of the questionnaire have raised issues, and new treatments have been introduced, with different toxicity profiles not covered by the current measure. These observations have led to the recognition that a revision of the QLQ-BN20 is warranted. The aim of this project is to update the current EORTC QLQ-BN20 questionnaire.

Wearable Devices and Biomarkers Project (Healthiomics)

Brain CancerNeurological Disorder1 more

The purpose of this study is to collect clinical data, biological specimens (e.g., blood, tumor, cerebrospinal fluid, urine sample, etc.), and digital health data from patients with tumors, cancer and/or neurological disorders in order to perform research studies that could advance patient care. By collecting these specimens, the investigators plan to create and maintain a biorepository to make data and specimens available to collaborating investigators performing research to discover predictive biomarkers, patterns of care, and personalized treatments that could directly improve the care of our patients through focused proof-of-concept clinical trials.

Seizure Control as a New Metric in Assessing Efficacy of Tumor Treatment in Patients With Low Grade...

Brain NeoplasmLow Grade Glioma1 more

This study investigates how seizures can vary over time with changes in low grade gliomas and its treatments. This study may help doctors find symptoms or triggers of seizures earlier than normal, and ultimately earlier care or treatment for seizures.

Evaluating the Expression Levels of MicroRNA-10b in Patients With Gliomas

AstrocytomaOligodendroglioma7 more

MicroRNAs (miRNA) are molecular biomarkers that post-transcriptionally control target genes. Deregulated miRNA expression has been observed in diverse cancers. In high grade gliomas, known as glioblastomas, the investigators have identified an oncogenic miRNA, miRNA-10b (mir-10b) that is expressed at higher levels in glioblastomas than in normal brain tissue. This study tests the hypothesis that in primary glioma samples mir-10b expression patterns will serve as a prognostic and diagnostic marker. This study will also characterize the phenotypic and genotypic diversity of glioma subclasses. Furthermore, considering the critical function of anti-mir-10b in blocking established glioblastoma growth, the investigators will test in vitro the sensitivity of individual primary tumors to anti-mir-10b treatment. Tumor, blood and cerebrospinal fluid samples will be obtained from patients diagnosed with gliomas over a period of two years. These samples will be examined for mir-10b expression levels. Patient survival, as well as tumor grade and genotypic variations will be correlated to mir-10b expression levels.
