The Investigators hypothesize that a wellbeing intervention that incorporates an innovative health coaching model to cultivate individual behavior change supportive of one's own and others' wellbeing will lead to improvements in self-reported wellbeing.

Whether and to what extent burnout risk is actually higher in surgical specialties than in non-surgical specialties is still unknown. Little is also known about what factors are associated with burnout between surgical residents and non-surgical residents. In this context, the present study has a three-fold aim: 1) to measure the prevalence of burnout among a sample of Italian medical residents; 2) to contrast the prevalence of burnout and psychological distress in surgical residents and non-surgical residents, and 3) to identify the work-related factors associated with burnout between surgical residents and non-surgical residents.

This study seeks to determine the burnout rate among minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons (MIGS) as well as to evaluate other personal, professional, and psychosocial factors associated with this condition. An anonymous electronic survey will be sent to the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) members. The survey will contain items that will inquire about socioeconomic background, professional characteristic, and about physical and psychologic well-being.

Impact of Curricular Transformation on Family Medicine Resident Burnout

Burnout Among Family Medicine Resident Physicians

The purpose of this study is to determine if the implementation of a Family Medicine residency curriculum that is based upon the principles of Clinic First, as originally described by the Center for Excellence in Primary Care at the University of California, San Francisco, results in a decrease in the extent of burnout among Family Medicine resident physicians at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. This is a descriptive study designed to assess the extent of burnout among Family Medicine resident physicians pre- and post-implementation of a Clinic First-inspired Family Medicine residency curriculum. The study will utilize the Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey for Medical Personnel (MBI-HSS (MP)), which is a validated instrument that was designed to assess (1) emotional exhaustion, (2) depersonalization, and (3) personal accomplishment among medical personnel.

Residents and interns are prone to emotional and physical exhaustion, also known as burnout. Burnout has not been studied much in physicians working in lower-middle income countries. We conducted this cross-sectional study at two institutes to determine the burden of burnout among internal medicine residents and to identify triggering and protective factors associated with burnout. An abbreviated version of the Maslach Burnout scale was used to measure burnout, and protective and triggering factors were recorded according to known factors.

We plan to perform an observational study to evaluate the prevalence of burnout, depression and medical errors in a designated exclusive Covid-19 patients hospital in Malaysia, during the Covid-19 pandemic. We also seek to assess the relationship between burnout and depression with medical errors. The population studied will be the anaesthesiology fraternity, who are at higher risk to the nature of their work at the frontlines of the pandemic.
