Esophageal CancerThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and time to progression of HLA-A*2402 restricted epitope peptides URLC10, TTK, and KOC1, emulsified with Montanide ISA 51.
Erlotinib and Radiation Therapy in Treating Older Patients With Stage I, Stage II, Stage III, or...
Esophageal CancerRATIONALE: Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving erlotinib together with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving erlotinib together with radiation therapy works in treating older patients with stage I, stage II, stage III, or stage IV esophageal cancer.
Fluorouracil, Cisplatin, Cetuximab, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Esophageal Cancer...
Esophageal CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fluorouracil and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving fluorouracil and cisplatin together with cetuximab and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of fluorouracil and cisplatin when given together with cetuximab and radiation therapy in treating patients with esophageal cancer that can be removed by surgery.
Erlotinib Hydrochloride and Cetuximab in Treating Patients With Advanced Gastrointestinal Cancer,...
Adenocarcinoma of the ColonAdenocarcinoma of the Rectum65 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of erlotinib hydrochloride when given together with cetuximab and to see how well they work in treating patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer, head and neck cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, or colorectal cancer. Erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Erlotinib hydrochloride and cetuximab may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving erlotinib hydrochloride together with cetuximab may kill more tumor cells.
Cetuximab, Docetaxel, Cisplatin, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced...
Esophageal CancerRATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving cetuximab, docetaxel, and cisplatin together with radiation therapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects of cetuximab, docetaxel, cisplatin, and radiation therapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer that can be removed by surgery.
Cisplatin, Irinotecan, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Esophageal Cancer or Gastroesophageal...
Esophageal CancerThis phase II trial studies how well giving cisplatin and irinotecan hydrochloride together with radiation therapy works in treating patients with esophageal cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer that can be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and irinotecan hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving combination chemotherapy together with radiation therapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed.
Counseling and Nicotine Replacement Therapy in Helping Adult Smokers Quit Smoking
Bladder CancerCervical Cancer9 moreRATIONALE: Stop-smoking plans, including counseling and nicotine replacement therapy, may help smokers quit smoking. It is not yet known whether counseling and the nicotine lozenge is more effective than counseling and the nicotine patch in helping adult smokers quit smoking. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying counseling and the nicotine lozenge to see how well they work compared to counseling and the nicotine patch in helping smokers quit smoking.
Oxaliplatin in Esophagus Cancer (Advanced) 1st Line
Esophageal NeoplasmsTo determine the activity and efficacy of the schema specified as dose regimen To determine the safety and tolerability of the oxaliplatin-cisplatin and 5FU
Docetaxel, Cisplatin, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced Esophageal...
Esophageal CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Docetaxel and cisplatin may also make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving docetaxel and cisplatin together with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving docetaxel and cisplatin together with radiation therapy works in treating patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
