Therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound for Gastrointestinal Disorders: A Multicenter Registry Study
Therapeutic Endoscopic UltrasoundAdvanced Endoscopy12 moreThe purpose of this retrospective chart-review registry study is to evaluate the safety profile, efficacy profile and cost-effectiveness of the various therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) procedures (for benign and malignant gastrointestinal disorders). To assess the clinical and technical success rates of EUS-Guided interventions To document the impact of therapeutic EUS procedures on the management of gastrointestinal disorders including malignancies through cost effective analyses. Compare endoscopic interventions to non-endoscopic interventions for the same clinical indications and evaluate safety and efficacy.
Hepatic Artery Infusion Chemotherapy Plus Donafenib in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma After...
CarcinomaCarcinoma8 moreThis is an open-label,multi-center ,non-randomized ,single arm exploratory study . This clinical study is an investigator-initiated clinical trial(IIT ). The objective of this study is to evaluate if the addition of hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) and Donafenib after curative resection for hepatocellular carcinoma patients with a solitary tumor≥5 cm and microvascular invasion (MVI) will prevent or delay the recurrence of the disease.
PTC in Personalizing Neoadjuvant Therapy for Patients With Advanced Gastrointestinal Tumor
Gastrointestinal NeoplasmsTo explore the value of PTC drug screening technique in selecting neoadjuvant therapy for advanced gastrointestinal cancer.
Fibroblast Activation Protein Inhibitor PET/CT Imaging in Malignant Tumor of Digestive System
Gastrointestinal CancerThe purpose of this single center prospective study is to assess the value of FAPI PET imaging in predicting early postoperative recurrence of malignant tumor of digestive system and to evaluate the diagnostic performance of FAPI PET/CT in the detection of primary tumor and metastatic lesions.
Biomarker Analysis of Solid Cancers Such as Gastrointestinal Cancer
SarcomaTo prospectively collect ascites, pleural fluid, circulating tumor cells and derived primary cultures from metastatic cancer patients. The specimens will be analyzed using DNA/RNA/proteomic approaches.
Circulating Tumor DNA (ctDNA) for Early Treatment Response Assessment of Solid Tumors
Healthy VolunteerProstate Cancer11 moreEarlier detection of disease recurrence will enable greater treatment options and has strong potential to improve patient outcomes. This project is translational and has the potential to lead to future translational research opportunities, including interventional trials in which therapeutic escalation is offered at the early circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) molecular residual disease (MRD) detection timepoint. Ultimately, the integration of ctDNA into the clinical workflow has the potential to enhance cancer diagnosis, treatment, surveillance, and prognosis, and guide clinical decision-making in this era of personalized precision medicine.
PRecision Oncology CUhk pRogrammE (PRO-CURE)
Gastrointestinal CancersThe main aim of this project is to establish an innovative model of a comprehensive precision oncology platform to help individualizing drug therapy for patients with advanced cancers at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The other objectives include to optimize the genomic matching and access of patients with unique cancer subtypes to the relevant clinical trials of novel therapies, and to construct a personalized drug screening platform for individuals using novel cancer models established from patient-derived cancer cells and tissues. Other objectives include to investigate the utility and feasibility of genomic sequencing using circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA), and to establish a biobank of tumor tissues derived from patients with unique cancer subtypes.
Response Prediction of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy in Gastro- Intestinal Cancer
Gastric CancerColon Cancer1 morePatients with gastric or colon cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis will receive a biopsy of the tumor during their primary curative surgery. The operation is performed according to standard and includes resection of the primary tumor and any metastases and followed by HIPEC (Intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemoperfusion) according to the respective hospital standard. Organoid cultures from the biopsies are established in the research laboratory. Various chemotherapeutic agents are tested on these tumor organoids in the laboratory and the tumor organoids are analyzed in detail with regard to genetic alterations in order to find alterations that can be addressed, if necessary, by means of targeted drugs against peritoneal carcinomatosis.
