Preliminary Experimental Study on Key Technologies for Early Screening of Gastric Cancer
Gastric CancerHealthyThis project aims to collect peripheral blood samples from newly diagnosed gastric cancer patients and healthy individuals. Various techniques such as cfDNA sequencing, proteomics, and fragmentomics will be employed to analyze differences in the expression of ctDNA mutations, fragmentomics, and protein biomarkers between gastric cancer patients and healthy individuals. A new comprehensive diagnostic model will be established and its diagnostic value (sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, etc.) for gastric cancer will be validated. Specifically, the study will involve the following subjects and quantities: 700 participants from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital (350 gastric cancer patients and 350 healthy individuals), 200 participants from Sichuan Cancer Hospital (100 gastric cancer patients and 100 healthy individuals), and 200 participants from the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (100 gastric cancer patients and 100 healthy individuals). Peripheral blood samples (a total of 15mL from each participant, collected in 3 tubes) will be collected from all subjects. The collected blood samples will undergo multi-omics sequencing including cfDNA methylation sequencing, proteomics, and genomics to establish a multi-omics-based early diagnostic model.
Gastric Cancer Prevention in the Family Members by Helicobacter Pylori Eradication
Gastric CancerHelicobacter Pylori Infection1 moreThis study evaluate whether treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection reduces the incidence of gastric cancer in subjects with family history of gastric cancer.
64Cu DOTA-Trastuzumab PET/CT in Studying Patients With Gastric Cancer
Adenocarcinoma of the Gastroesophageal JunctionDiffuse Adenocarcinoma of the Stomach11 moreThis pilot clinical trial studies copper Cu 64 (64Cu) tetra-azacyclododecanetetra-acetic acid (DOTA)-trastuzumab positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in studying patients with gastric, or stomach cancer. Diagnostic procedures, such as copper Cu 64-DOTA-trastuzumab PET/CT, may help doctors study the characteristics of tumors and choose the best treatment.
Prospective Evaluation and Molecular Profiling in People With Gastric Tumors
Stomach NeoplasmsStomach CancerBackground: Certain stomach cancers are rare, but they have high mortality rates. Researchers want to learn more about gastric (stomach) tumors. In this study, they want to collect data from people who have stomach cancer or are at risk to get it. This data will be used to see if the people can be in other studies. Objective: To study tissue from stomach tumors and find people eligible for more studies on gastric cancer. Eligibility: Age greater than or equal to 2 years old who have or may have stomach cancer, lesions that may be related to stomach cancer, or an inherited disorder that leads to stomach cancer. Design: Participants will be screened with: Medical history Physical exam Blood and urine tests Heart tests Scans or ultrasound. For the scans, participants lie in a machine that takes pictures. For some scans, they will swallow or be injected with a small amount of radioactive material. Special cameras will show the material in the body. Tumor sample taken with a needle or surgery Some participants will have an endoscopy. A long, flexible tube with a camera will be inserted through the mouth into the stomach. The tube will collect tissue from the stomach. Some participants may have follow-up visits. Some may be invited to join other studies. Others will be contacted by phone to see how they are doing. ...
The Incidence of Gallstones After Gastric Cancer Surgery
GallstonesGastric CancerThrough previous clinical observations and literature, we found that the incidence of gallstones in patients after gastric cancer radical resection was significantly higher than that in the normal population (4%). However, its pathogenesis has not been clarified. We compare the risk of gallbladder stones after four different radical gastric cancer surgical methods, in order to provide prevention and treatment strategies for people with gallstones after gastric cancer.
Spanish Registry of Esophagogastric Cancer
Esophageal CancerGastric CancerThis study aims to development of a database through a web page for epidemiological and clinical research purposes that is accessible to members of the AGAMENON - SEOM group that guarantees a rigorous collection, exploitation and analysis of the data and information contained, increases the knowledge of esophageal and stomach cancer in order to optimize the management, treatment and evolution of patients, the possibility of comparing variables with those of other series or groups, and promotes the quality of scientific publications.
Peritoneal Lavage Liquid Biopsy in Patients With Gastric Cancer
Gastric CancerGastric AdenocarcinomaThis study investigates the prognostic role of liquid biopsy in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer. Liquid biopsy for the detection of circulating tumor DNA will be performed: In the peritoneal lavage, during staging laparoscopy (if indicated) and during curative gastrectomy In plasma, before staging laparoscopy (if indicated), before curative gastrectomy, at hospital discharge, three months after surgery/at the end of adjuvant therapy, and in case of disease recurrence. The aim of this study is to determine the predictive power of liquid biopsy on overall survival and disease free survival.
ICG (Indocyanine Green) Imaging Fluorescence Technology in Surgical Treatment of Advanced Gastric...
Gastric CancerThe iGreenGO Study aims to investigate whether the intraoperative application of NIR/ICG technology is associated with a change in the surgical conduct (CSC) during curative-intent gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy in a cohort of Western patients affected by AGC. The preoperative clinical variables potentially associated with CSC will be also investigated
Application of Serum Bile Acid Profile in the Diagnosis of Gastric Cancer
Gastric CancerIn this study, the composition and level of serum bile acids in patients with gastric cancer and non-gastric cancer were analyzed by detecting the serum bile acid profile, so as to develop new serological diagnostic methods for early diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.
Comparation of Endoscopic Biopsy and Postoperative Specimen for the Molecular Diagnosis of Gastric...
Stomach NeoplasmsEndoscopy2 moreThis study aims to test the hypothesis that the diagnosis for histological type, histological grade, LAUREN type, HER-2 expression, MSI/dMMR status, and EBV status in gastric cancer is at least as reliable when performed on endoscopic biopsy specimens as on surgical resection specimens.
