Prospective Study FNB, Is It Time To Abandon Cytological Assessment
Pancreatic NeoplasmsEndoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is a minimally invasive procedure used by gastroenterologists to examine pancreatic masses and lesions. A fine needle is traversed through an endoscope and used to acquire tissue samples, which are then sent for pathology. The standard approach for diagnosing solid pancreatic lesions has been fine needle aspiration (FNA) (Han et al. 2016). However, the use of FNA comes with its limitations, some of which include multiple needle passes to acquire fluid, the need for on-site cytologists, and decreased diagnostic yield. Fine needle biopsy (FNB) is the latest approach being employed by endosonographers in lieu of FNA. FNB confers several advantages over FNB. First, FNB requires fewer needle passes than FNA to acquire tissue sample for immunohistochemical staining. In addition, FNB provides better tissues samples, greater sensitivity of the tissue core, and thus, improved diagnostic yields (Tian et al. 2018). Finally, FNB is more cost-effective than FNA and relies on pathologists, instead of on-site cytologists, and preserves the tissue core (Tian et al. 2018). The objective of this study is to establish a database of samples placed in formalin for patients who will undergo a fine-needle biopsy (FNB) for pathological evaluation without rapid on site cytological assessment.

Outcomes of Surgical Resection of Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasms Based on the European Expert Consensus...
Pancreas CancerIntroduction: Pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs) comprise neoplasms with a wide range of benign and malignant varieties. The most common include serous cystic neoplasms (SCNs), mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCNs), intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs), and solid pseudo-papillary neoplasms (SPPNs). Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) are used to diagnose different PCNs types. The cyst fluid aspiration and analysis is performed in difficult differential diagnosis. Frequently, amylase and CEA levels are measured. The choice of surgery depends on cyst location and size and includes pancreatico-duodenectomy or distal pancreatectomy. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes after pancreatic surgery when adopted as the management of true exocrine epithelial cystic neoplasms.

Advanced Pancreatic CancerA prospective, open, one-arm clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of jinyouli in the first-line treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer with albumin paclitaxel combined with S-1.Chemotherapy regimen: (1) chemotherapy: albumin paclitaxel, 120mg / m2, intravenous infusion for 30 minutes, D1. S-1, taken orally after meal, D1 - 14. (2) patients who met the input / discharge criteria were given jinyouli injections 24 hours after the end of intravenous infusion of albumin paclitaxel during the treatment period.

CancerBreast8 moreThis comparative effectiveness and descriptive retrospective cohort study will evaluate safety and effectiveness outcomes among commercially insured adults who received a granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) biosimilar or originator product during the first cycle of clinical guideline-indicated intermediate or high febrile neutropenia risk chemotherapy.
Clinical Evaluation Of Needle-based Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy in Cystic Tumors of the Pancreas...
Cystic Tumors of PancreasThis study focuses on pancreatic cysts, especially malignant pancreatic cysts. The primary hypothesis of the study is that using nCLE in addition to EUS-FNA and tissue sampling allows better characterization of pancreatic cysts and improves appropriate therapeutic decision-making. For physicians, integrating nCLE into the diagnostic algorithm of pancreatic cysts could impact patient management by: Ruling out malignancy for patients with benign appearing nCLE images. Characterizing more malignant tumors in the pancreas.
