Interest of PET/CT at 18F-FDG in the Post-therapeutic Management of Cervical Cancer

Cervical Cancer

A lot of studies have demonstrated the prognostic value of post therapy 18F-FDG PET/CT in the management of uterine cervical cancer. Post therapy 18F-FDG PET/CT is usually requested by a lot of clinicians. Whereas 18F-FDG PET/CT is useful for prognosis in the follow-up, data are yet insufficient to clearly establish a formal recommendation. This prospective multicenter observational study will evaluate the interest of post therapy 18F-FDG PET/CT in clinical management (within 2 months of treatment) in patients with cervical cancer at an advanced stage. Main outcome : The therapeutic impact of post therapy 18F-FDG PET/CT (within 2 months after the end of therapy) will be evaluated on the complete results included MRI. Investigators will compare : decision of clinicians without 18F-FDG PET/CT results and decision of clinicians knowing entire results included results of 18F-FDG PET/CT.

HPV InfectionCervical Cancer

This study proposes to describe and evaluate the rate of spontaneous regression of CIN2 at 2 year of follow up in women between 18 and 39 year old. This follow-up is proposed as an alternative to the treatment of reference (conization) with a possible extension to 4 years

Screening Triage and Risk Stratification

Cervix CancerHPV Testing1 more

To investigate the performance of cytology, extended genotyping, p16/Ki67 dual stain cytology, DNA methylation and viral load as triage markers in post-menopausal HPV-screen-positive women aged 50-64 years in the organized screening program to predict the risk of developing CIN2+. (work package 1) To investigate the performance of cytology, extended genotyping, p16/Ki67 dual stain cytology, DNA methylation and viral load six months after cervical excision to predict the long-term risk of residual/recurrent CIN2+ lesions among women aged 23-64 (work-package 2)

Radiomics-based Malnutrition for Cervical Cancer.

Cervical CancerMalnutrition

Loss of skeletal muscle, is one of the most prevalent symptoms of malnutrition, and has been frequently reported as a negative factor in cancer patients at any disease stage. In this study, we are planning to firstly analyze the radiomics features of psoas extracted at the level of the third lumbar vertebra (L3) and then, develop a CT-based radiomics nomogram prediction model for predicting malnutrition based on their Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) scores in patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO, 2014 version) stage IB1-IIA2 cervical cancer (CC) who received postoperative radiotherapy/chemoradiotherapy (RT/CRT).

Clinical Value of the Fertility-preserving Surgery in Cervical Cancer

Cervical Cancer

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical value of preserving the ascending branch of the uterine artery in improving the uterine blood supply after radical trachelectomy (RT). Method: This study will include 100 patients with early-stage cervical cancer, who undergo RT with the preservation of the ascending branch of the uterine artery. A new skill called the "cuff-sleeve" suture method is introduced to wrap the vagina around the stump cervix, wherein they are sutured using a 2-0 absorbable suture by placing two cross-stitches in the anterior and posterior wall, respectively, without piercing the cervical mucosa layer or damaging the uterine arteries. Study groups: The patients will be categorized into two groups. Patients in the postoperative group will undergo computed tomography angiography (CTA) after surgery and patients in the preoperative group will undergo CTA before RT. Data collection: Data regarding individual patient characteristics, International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage, histologic subtype, lymphovascular space involvement (LVSI) status, recurrence, CTA data, fertility results, and obstetric outcomes will be collected for the patients in the postoperative group. The CTA findings of the preoperative group will be obtained. Statistical methods: Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics, version 26. The t-test is used for analyzing the continuous variables and the chi-squared test for categorical variables.

The Value of HPV Testing for Cervical Cancer Screening in Women Living With HIV (PAPILLO-VIH)

HIV Seropositivity

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the interest of a screening strategy based on the HPV test in patients living with HIV, compared to the cell smear alone in the same population. The Secondary objective of this study is to verify if the use of HPV testing could allow for a longer follow-up of these patients in case of negativity, and thus allow for a standardization of clinicians' practices.

The Effect of the Motivational Interviewing Technique on Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings

MenopauseCervix Cancer1 more

This study will be conducted to evaluate the effect of the motivational interviewing technique applied to menopausal women on their participation in breast and cervical cancer screenings. This is a randomized controlled intervention study in which the study sample will consist of 120 menopausal women, who visit the health care centers in the city of Kutahya. There will be one intervention group with a total of 60 participants and a control group with the same number of participants. The intervention group will have motivational interviews whereas the control group participants will follow the normal protocols.
