A Study to Assess the Effect of Concomitant Administration of Fluconazole on the Clinical Pharmacokinetics...

CandidiasisHIV Infections

To evaluate the pharmacokinetics and safety of concomitant administration of methadone and fluconazole. Injection drug users constitute the second largest subset of the U.S. population at risk for HIV infection and AIDS-associated mortality. Narcotic addiction is often treated by use of methadone. Fluconazole has been shown to be highly effective in treating symptomatic mucosal candidiasis, but it is unknown whether fluconazole affects methadone metabolism, which could result in symptoms of methadone withdrawal or overdose in patients taking the drugs in combination.

Clinical Performance of a Vaginal Pessary (pHyph) in Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

This is an open-label, single-armed, multi-center study to evaluate clinical performance, tolerability, and safety of Gedea Pessary in 24 adult women with VVC. On Day 0, patients will have gynecological examination, vaginal samples taken, and will receive the investigational product to be self-administered. Patients will be examined after 7 days with respect to VVC signs and symptoms and if not cured, will receive prolonged treatment for one additional week. Determination of Levels of Micafungin in Neonates Suffering From Systemic Candidiasis and/or Candida...

CandidiasisSystemic1 more

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetic profile of micafungin administered to neonates suffering from systemic candidiasis. This study will also evaluate the proportion of success and of failure of the therapy with micafungin among treated neonates and will identify a conversion factor to relate plasma levels of micafungin into capillary and venous blood measured through blood samples from the heel and from a peripheral vein, collected simultaneously. Safety of micafungin in neonates will also be assessed.
