The adhesive capsulitis is a disease of the shoulder characterized by pain and limitation of movement amplitude. It is defined as for etiology, having discordant theories that related it to an inflammatory condition or to an algoneurodystrophy process. There is not yet a consensus about the best option of treatment. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatories have analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity, where the mechanism of action is the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. The antidepressants have been increasingly used in the control of chronic pain and the major action mechanism to have the analgesic effect seems to be based on inhibition of neurotransmitters reuptake noradrenaline and/or serotonin) in nerve cell endings. Literature studies associate the practice of the nerve suprascapular blockade with anaesthetics to good results of clinical improvement of the pain, however, so far, no clinical studies comparing the efficacy of the non-steroidal antiinflammatories or tricyclic antidepressants to nervous blockage were registered in the acute treatment of adhesive capsulitis.

Translational Manipulation Under Interscalene Block for Adhesive Capsulitis of the Shoulder (TMACS)...

This study evaluates the addition of translational manipulation under interscalene block, to a course of orthopaedic manual physical therapy for treatment of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. Half the patients will receive a translational manipulation under interscalene block, plus 6 sessions of orthopaedic manual physical therapy. The other half will receive 7 sessions of physical therapy. The investigators hypothesize that the translational manipulation under interscalene block will provide additional benefit beyond the effect of in-clinic orthopaedic manual physical therapy alone.

Different treatment approaches will try to identify the most effective treatment method. Changes in muscle tone, pain, range of motion and functionallity will be observed with ESWT treatment. For the first time placebo-controlled research is being conducted with different doses of ESWT in our country and in the World literature. In this way the lower floor of the further work to be done will be established.

Adding Vertical Correction to Scapular Recognition on Patients With Frozen Shoulder

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of adding a continual vertical downward correction to dynamic scapular recognition exercise on scapular dyskinesis and shoulder pain and disability in patients with frozen shoulder. Design: A double-blinded randomized controlled study Setting: Out-patient clinic Subjects: Sixty-seven subjects with unilateral frozen shoulder Interventions: Participants were distributed into two groups. The intervention group performed the dynamic scapular recognition exercise and continual vertical downward correction using rigid taping with 50%-75% tension. The control group performed a similar dynamic scapular recognition exercise using a wireless biofeedback system and placebo taping. A scapular dyskinesis test with caliper was utilized to measure scapular dyskinesis, a digital inclinometer was utilized to evaluate the scapular upward rotation and shoulder ROMs, and the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) was utilized to evaluate the shoulder pain and disability.

This study aims to examine the effect of hospital-home linkage short-term rehabilitation therapy using real-time interactive digital healthcare system (Uincare Homeplus) in frozen shoulder. This is prospective randomized controlled trial and multi-center study. 100 frozen shoulder who diagnosed with limited range of motion in 2 more plane of flexion, abduction, external rotation of affected shoulder. Shoulder range of motion (ROM), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI), pain evaluation with Numeral Rating Scale (NRS), quality of life evaluation with Short Form (SF)-36 Health Survey and EQ-5D-5L, activity daily living (ADL) evaluation with Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM) will be evaluated on enrollment, 4-week, 8-week, 12-weeks, 18-weeks, and 24 weeks after enrollment.
