Pilot Study of a Novel Type of CT Scan to Assess Treatment Response During Chemoradiotherapy for...
Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Stage IIIDual-energy CT (DECT) provides information on the blood volume in tumors and lymph nodes. As tumors respond to treatment, preliminary data suggests that the blood volumes changes as well. Investigators are therefore using DECT to test whether it can be used on radiation treatment to rapidly assess response to treatment.
Evaluation of EGFR TKI Resistance Mechanism Using Plasma DNA Analysis
EGFR Mutation Positive Non-small Cell Lung CancerTo detect resistance gene from serially collected plasma DNA in non-small cell lung cancer harbouring EGFR activating mutation who are being treated with EGFR TKIs by using castPCR method.
Circulating Tumor Cells in Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma
Primary Lung CancerThe purpose of this study is to establish the circulating tumor cell (CTC) assay as a surrogate for tissue diagnosis of suspected primary lung cancer. This is done through evaluating clinical and molecular markers to stratify the outcome/survival in patients with thoracic malignancies treated at Yale University/Yale-New Haven Hospital, University of California San Diego/Moores Cancer Center, Billings Clinic Cancer Center.
Radiomics Multifactorial Biomarker for Pulmonary Nodules
Lung NeoplasmsCarcinoma4 moreThe investigators aim to investigate the utility of radiomics to differentiate malignant nodules from benign nodules and invasive adenocarcinoma from non-invasive adenocarcinoma.
Non-interventional Study to Assess the Frequency of Cachexia in Patients With Non-small Cell Lung...
Non-small Cell Lung CancerCachexiaThe purpose of this study is to assess the frequency of cachexia and the management of cachexia and associated symptoms in a patient population with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
N2 Lung Cancer Project: Neoadjuvant Treatment Followed Surgery Versus Chemoradiation
Non-small-Cell Lung CarcinomaSurgery3 moreThe objective of this multicenter retrospective study is to compare overall survival in patients with stage IIIA-N2 NSCLC treated with neoadjuvant treatment and surgery versus definitive chemoradiation. Secondary objectives are to analyze disease-free survival, median survival, locoregional and distant relapses as well as mortality and toxicity related to treatment.
Multiparametric PET-MRI Integration for a New Approach to Tumor Heterogeneity in Non-Small Cell...
NSCLCTo estimate the intra and inter-operator reproducibility of multiparametric regional PET-MRI mapping in locally advanced and trace mestastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Crizotinib Expanded Access Protocol For ROS1 Positive NSCLC
NeoplasmsCarcinoma1 morePrimary objective of this study is to allow access and evaluate the safety of crizotinib for patients in Japan with advanced NSCLC harboring a translocation or inversion involving the ROS1 oncogene.
Optical Biopsy for Thoracic Lymph Nodes.
Mediastinal LymphadenopathyNon-small Cell Lung Carcinoma1 moreEUS-FNA is the recommended diagnostic examination of choice when patients present with suspected lower mediastinal lymph nodes on imaging. EUS-FNA is minimal invasive and low in costs, and although it has a good record in detecting diseases (eg confirm a nodal metastasis or granulomas) it has limitations in excluding diseases (missing metastases/ or granulomas) resulting in a false negative rate of 15-20%. Substantial limitations that most likely can be attributed to areas within the node that are not sampled during EUS-FNA tissue acquisition. Improved needle based EBUS/ EUS guided nodal diagnostics might result in improved quality of the fine needle aspirations, reduce in surgical diagnostic procedures , reduced costs and result in a shorter timebefore-treatment interval.
A Study of Prevalence of EGFR Mutations in Participants With NSCLC
Non-Small Cell Lung CancerThis is a non-interventional, local, multicenter, cross-sectional study to determine the prevalence of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations in participants diagnosed with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
