Second Line Oxaliplatin Based Chemotherapy Alone Versus Oxaliplatin Based PIPAC and Chemotherapy...

Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in men and second in women. It represent 345'346 new cases per year in Europe and 134'349 in the United States of America. The peritoneal cavity is the second most frequent site, after liver, for colorectal cancer relapse.Peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) is found in approximately 5 % of patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 24% of patients with synchronous metastasis at the time of diagnosis. Eight percent of colorectal cancer patient will develop PC during the course of their disease . Currently systemic chemotherapy is the standard of care for the treatment of unresectable peritoneal carcinomatosis from colorectal cancer with a median survival rate of 16.3 months Peritoneal carcinomatosis has a poor response to systemic chemotherapy due to a weak penetration of agents into the peritoneum. A new approach of intraperitoneal carcinomatosis is now developed: Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) is used to deliver intraperitoneal chemotherapy. It enhances the effect of chemotherapy because of the physical properties of aerosol and pressure. PIPAC is a safe with a 23% morbidity and tolerated technic that is now well described. We want to conduct a study to prove or infirm the superiority of PIPAC associated with systemic chemotherapy compare to systemic chemotherapy alone in peritoneal carcinomatosis from colorectal cancer

Paclitaxel (Albumin-bound) Combined With Radiotherapy for the Treatment of Early Stage Nasopharyngeal...

Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

This trial is a prospective, parallel controlled, randomized, open, multi-center phase III clinical trial. The trial will enroll 364 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma who are staged T1-2N0-1M0 (except T1N0M0) (UICC 8th edition) . This experiment was participated by multiple centers of Nanjing Gulou Hospital, Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, Jiangsu Cancer Hospital, Nanjing Military Region General Hospital, Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhongda Hospital. Each center competes for admission of cases. The subjects will be randomly assigned (using the random number table method according to the order of entry) to the experimental group to receive albumin-bound paclitaxel combined with IMRT concurrent radiotherapy, or the control group to receive cisplatin combined with IMRT concurrent radiotherapy.

Breast Ductal Carcinoma In SituCOVID-19 Infection2 more

This study investigates the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on out-of-pocket costs, lost wages, and unemployment in patients with breast cancer undergoing breast surgery. Post-mastectomy reconstructive patients are at high risk for financial toxicity (adverse effects of escalating health care cost on well-being). The goal of this study is to collect information about financial costs patients may have as a result of surgical treatment for cancer with or without breast reconstruction and to learn if COVID-19 affects patient costs of breast reconstruction. This may help researchers demonstrate the financial consequences of undergoing breast surgery.

Metastatic Lung Non-Small Cell CarcinomaRecurrent Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma3 more

This study investigates the changes in positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) imaging scans during chemoimmunotherapy and radiation therapy treatment in patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. Analyzing changes in PET/CT imaging scans may help doctors assess and predict patterns of cancer response to chemoimmunotherapy and radiation therapy.

Paraneoplastic Syndrome in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients

Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common cancer in the world with rising incidence. Globally, there has been substantial variation in prevalence of risk factors for HCC over years, like control of viral hepatitis in developing countries but growing epidemic of fatty liver disease in developed world. Changing epidemiology of HCC is related to trends in these risk factors, Paraneoplastic syndromes (PNS) are defined as systemic, metabolic, or other distant consequences of malignancy resulting, either directly or indirectly, from production by the neoplasm of substances that gain access to the blood stream, thereby exerting their effects on distant organs or tissues There is four major HCC-associated paraneoplastic syndromes among Cirrhotic patients,i.e.hypercholesterolemia,hypoglycemia,hypercalcemia,and erythrocytosis .

Enfortumab Vedotin Plus Pembrolizumab for the Treatment of Locally Advanced or Metastatic Bladder...

Bladder Squamous Cell CarcinomaLocally Advanced Bladder Carcinoma9 more

This phase II trial tests how well enfortumab vedotin (EV) and pembrolizumab works in treating patients with bladder cancer of variant histology (a group of less common types of bladder cancer) that have spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced) or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Enfortumab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, enfortumab, linked to an anticancer drug called vedotin. Enfortumab attaches to a protein called nectin-4 on cancer cells in a targeted way and delivers vedotin to kill them. It is a type of antibody-drug conjugate. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab may kill more tumor cells in patients with locally advanced or metastatic bladder cancer of variant histology.
