Efficacy and Safety Study of Leukocyte Interleukin,Injection (LI) to Treat Cancer of the Oral Cavity...

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Oral CavitySquamous Cell Carcinoma of the Soft Palate

The purpose of this study was to determine whether LI administered in combination with cyclophosphamide, indomethacin and zinc in a multivitamin (CIZ) combination prior to standard of care therapy (surgery followed by radiotherapy or concurrent radiochemotherapy) is safe and will increase the overall survival of subjects with previously untreated locally advanced primary squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity or soft palate at a median of 3 to 5 years

Trebananib in Treating Patients With Persistent or Recurrent Endometrial Cancer

Endometrial AdenocarcinomaEndometrial Adenosquamous Carcinoma6 more

This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well trebananib works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent endometrial cancer. Trebananib may stop the growth of endometrial cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor.

Axitinib For The Treatment Of Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

The study is designed to demonstrate that axitinib plus best supportive care is superior to placebo plus best supportive care in prolonging survival in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.

Cixutumumab, Everolimus, and Octreotide Acetate in Treating Patients With Advanced Low to Intermediate...

Gastrin-Producing Neuroendocrine TumorLung Carcinoid Tumor13 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of cixutumumab when given together with everolimus and octreotide acetate in treating patients with advanced low- or intermediate-grade neuroendocrine cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cixutumumab, may find tumor cells and help carry tumor-killing substances to them. Everolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Octreotide acetate may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of neuroendocrine cancer. Giving cixutumumab together with everolimus and octreotide acetate may be a better treatment for neuroendocrine cancer.

Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy and Paclitaxel With or Without Pazopanib Hydrochloride in...

Thyroid Gland Anaplastic Carcinoma

This randomized phase II trial studies the side effects and how well intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and paclitaxel with or without pazopanib hydrochloride works in treating patients with anaplastic thyroid cancer. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether radiation therapy and paclitaxel are more effective when given with pazopanib hydrochloride in treating thyroid cancer.

Ph 3 ADI-PEG 20 Versus Placebo in Subjects With Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma Who Have Failed...

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

This is a study of ADI-PEG 20 (pegylated arginine deiminase), an arginine degrading enzyme versus placebo in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who have failed prior systemic treatment (chemotherapy). Hepatocellular carcinomas have been found to require arginine, an amino acid. Thus the hypothesis is that by restricting arginine with ADI-PEG 20, the hepatocellular carcinoma cells will starve and die.

Study of Ramucirumab or Icrucumab (IMC-18F1) With Docetaxel or Docetaxel Alone as Second-Line Therapy...

Carcinoma of Urinary TractUrethral Carcinoma2 more

This multicenter trial will enroll participants with metastatic transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder, urethra, ureter, or renal pelvis who have had disease progression on first-line platinum-based chemotherapy regimens. Participants will be enrolled into 1 of 3 treatment arms: docetaxel; docetaxel and ramucirumab; or docetaxel and icrucumab.

A Phase II Study of Akt Inhibitor MK2206 in the Treatment of Recurrent Platinum-Resistant Ovarian,...

Ovarian SarcomaRecurrent Fallopian Tube Carcinoma2 more

Akt inhibitor MK2206 is a drug that may stop cancer cells from growing by blocking a protein called protein kinase B (AKT) inside the cell. AKT interacts with other proteins in the cell that are part of the P13K/AKT pathway, a pathway that is know to play a role in the growth of cancer cells. Mutations in P13K or in AKT, or changes in another protein called phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) in this pathway can lead it to become more active than is normal. This study investigates how effective MK-2206 is in treating ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer where there are mutations in P13K or AKT or low levels of PTEN.

Squamous Carcinoma of EsophagusEsophagus Disorders

To assess whether or not a perioperative therapy with surgery can improve the outcomes among patients with potentially curable squamous carcinoma of esophagus as compared to a preoperative chemotherapy followed by surgery

E7050 in Combination With Sorafenib Versus Sorafenib Alone as First Line Therapy in Participants...

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

The purpose of this study is to determine whether patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who receive either E7050 administered with Sorafenib or Sorafenib alone experience greater benefit (cancer responds to treatment) when E7050 is administered with Sorafenib.
