PET Scans and CT Scans in Patients With Locally Advanced Head and Neck Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy...
Carcinoma of Unknown PrimaryHead and Neck CancerRATIONALE: Imaging procedures, such as PET scan and CT scan, may help doctors predict a patient's response to treatment and plan the best treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well PET scans and CT scans show response to treatment in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Monitoring Response After The First Chemotherapy Cycle After Neoadjuvant Breast Cancer Therapy
Invasive Ductal CarcinomaLobular Breast Carcinoma1 moreA PET scan drop less than 20% in SUVs or below a certain absolute SUV value after the first course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy can predict pathological response, and could in the future lead to an early surgical intervention.
the Optimal Surveillance Frequency for Patients With Gastric Neuroendocrine Carcinoma
Gastric Neuroendocrine CarcinomaDue to lacking of evidence on surveillance for gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma (G-NEC), this study aimed to determine the optimal postsurgical surveillance strategy for G-NEC patients and compare its cost-effectiveness with traditional surveillance strategies.
A Study to Learn About the Study Medicine (Avelumab) in Japanese Patients With Urothelial Carcinoma...
Urothelial CarcinomaThe purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the current treatment patterns, safety, and effects of the study medicine (Avelumab) for the treatment of urothelial carcinoma. This study is seeking Japanese participants who: have urothelial cancer that has spread are treated with Avelumab for maintenance We will study the experiences of people receiving avelumab. This helps us learn the current treatment patterns, safety, and effects of avelumab. Participants will take part in this study up to 10 months. During this time, they will have no study visits.
Effect of Tumor Micronecrosis on Postoperative Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization in Patients...
CarcinomaHepatocellularMicronecrosis is a novel pathological feature of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study was aimed at evaluating the effect of tumor micronecrosis on postoperative transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinomas, and further exploring the value of micronecrosis for guiding TACE in HCC management.
The Impact of Mitotane Therapy on Serum Free Proteins in Patients With Adrenocortical Carcinoma...
Adrenocortical CarcinomaThis work will evaluate the effects of mitotane treatment on serum protein concentrations in patients treated for ACC with mitotane therapy and compare them to patients with an adrenal neoplasm and pregnant cohort. All of the individuals were treated at King's Hospital between April 2019 and June 2020. Proteins which will be evaluated during this study, include CBG and TBG.
Effect of Chemoradiotherapy on Nutritional Status in Advanced NPC Patients
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaMalnutritionThis is an prospective,open-label, none-interventional, observational, multicenter phase II clinical trial. The purpose of this study is to observe the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by concurrent chemoradiation therapy(CCRT) on nutritional status in locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients, analyse the changes of patients' nutrition status during the treatment and the connection between nutrition changes and curative effects, evaluate nutritional risks under the neoadjuvant chemotherapy and CCRT and provide data and basis for further study。
Preventive Effects of Parecoxib on Postoperative Complications in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients...
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis study is aiming to understand the effects of parecoxib on the postoperative complications of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients undergoing hepatic transcatheter arterial embolization (TACE). The investigators enrolled 242 patients who were diagnosed with HCC for the first time and who received hepatic TACE at the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Center of Sun Yat-sen University from October 2014 to March 2015 were prospectively enrolled. The patients were divided into study and control groups according to whether parecoxib sodium was administered postoperatively. Pain scores, body temperature, vomiting, and changes in liver function after surgery, as well as the length of the hospital stay, were recorded and compared.
