Evaluation of Diagnostic Accuracy of CEUS for HCC Diagnosis

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

This study aims to compare the diagnostic accuracy of Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with that of gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using non-invasive diagnostic criteria (American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD or Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) v2018 and Korean Liver Cancer Study Group- National Cancer Center Korea (KLCSG-NCC) v2018).

Evaluation of 18F-FDOPA PET-CT in the Preoperative Initial Assessment of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma...

Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) develops at the expense of calcitonin cells and is often characterized by lymph node metastases and sometimes visceral metastases. Improvement of preoperative diagnosis is of major importance in CMT because the quality of the initial surgery determines the prognosis. In recent years, 18F-fluorodihydroxyphenylalanine (18F-FDOPA) PET / CT was considered the most sensitive functional imaging tool in the evaluation of persistent CMT. To date, 18F-FDOPA PET at initial diagnosis has been reported in a few clinical cases. The main objective is to demonstrate that 18F-FDOPA PET provides additional information compared to conventional imaging on the initial diagnosis of CMT patients. The secondary objectives are to describe the nature of the information provided by PET / CT imaging, the main factors influencing tracer uptake and the positivity of PET / CT, and the impact of the examination on the care of the patient. This is a prospective, multicenter and open study. Patients with TCM who have serum calcitonin> 150 pg / ml at initial diagnosis and have performed baseline imaging examinations within the last 3 months will be included in the study . A PET at 18F-FDOPA will be performed according to a very powerful acquisition protocol. Image analysis will be performed blindly from the results of conventional imaging. All exams will be compared, in accordance with the gold standard. Therapeutic intentions will be collected before and after the PET imaging, as well as the actual management in place.

Microparticles in Peritoneal Carcinomatosis of Colorectal Origin

Colorectal Carcinoma

Peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC), a tumoral tumor of the peritoneum, is a frequent metastatic localization of colorectal cancer (CRC, 13%). Long regarded as a palliative situation, its management has progressed significantly with a curative treatment based on a complete cytoreduction surgery coupled with intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy. However current screening tools, tumor markers (ACE, CA19-9, CA125) and abdominopelvic CT scan are insufficient, to diagnose CP early. A non-invasive biomarker, more sensitive and more specific than currently available tumor markers, would be a major advance in oncology. Microparticles (MPs), vesicles from extracellular membrane budding in response to cell activation or apoptosis of different cell types, have been described as implicated in tumor progression, procoagulant activity associated with cancer, and initiation of metastatic niches. A specific microparticulate (microparticulosome) signature has been reported in patients with CRC, particularly in the presence of a thromboembolic event. However, there is currently no data on PMs and their involvement in CP. In addition, CP and surgery coupled with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy are major risk factors for thromboembolic complications. The characterization of prothrombotic PMs is therefore essential to predict such event. The main objective of this project is to characterize the microparticulate signature of CP of colorectal origin and to compare it with that of CP without CP. The secondary objectives are to compare the microparticulate signature obtained on peripheral venous samples and intraoperative tumor samples, evaluate the evolution of the microparticulate signature between the beginning and the end of the intervention, then correlate the peripheral signature to the oncological follow-up of the patients with CP and the occurrence of a thromboembolic event.

3DV+TPS Software Outlines the Radiotherapy of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

RadiotherapyNasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Comparing the accuracy and speed of 3DV+TPS software with imported TPS and domestic TPS to outline the contours of crisis organs, it is proved that 3DV+TPS has superiority compared with domestic TPS, and it has non-inferiority compared with imported TPS, indicating that the software can improve contour sketching accuracy. And speed, reduce the burden on doctors, improve medical efficiency.

Effects of Statin on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Recurrence After Liver Transplantation

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

This study aims to investigate whether statin therapy can help prevent recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in transplant recipients who had liver transplantation for HCC. Multiple logistic regression analysis will be performed to evaluate the association between statin therapy and the risk of HCC recurrence after LT.

Observational Study of Correlation Between Recurrent Basal Cell Carcinoma and Localisation

Basal Cell Carcinoma

.During one year all the resected basal cell carcinomas (BCC) analyzed in Montpellier University Hospital Anatomopathology unit were included in this study. Localisation and histological characteristics were collected. All the recurrences of BCC were searched from the medical records (or histopathology request form). From 804 BCC, 48 were recurrent BCC with or without complete first resection. Patients with recurrent BCC were contacted to obtain agreement and more informations about the first resection and some clinical informations like sun exposure and phototype. The statistical analysis focused on the localisation of recurrent BCC (with a complete first resection) compared to localisations of primary BCC in this population. The goal was to identified localisations with an increased risk of recurrences.

Fusion Imaging Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound LI-RADS

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

CEUS LI-RASD apply to lesion visible at precontrast ultrasound but not the lesion invisible. Fusion imaging can use to invisible lesions at precontrast ultrasound in clinical practice. Thus, our aim is to explore the application value of CEUS LI-RADS in contrast-enhanced fusion imaging for focal liver lesions that are not visible on conventional ultrasound in high-risk patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
