Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Radio Frequency Ablation Assisted Enucleation of Renal Cell Carcinoma...
Renal Cell CarcinomaTo evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of zero ischemia robot-assisted laparoscopic radio frequency ablation assisted enucleation of T1a renal cell carcinoma in comparison with robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy without hilar clamping.
Itch and Pain Characteristics in Skin Carcinomas
Skin CarcinomaSkin Cancer1 moreThe objective of this study is to have better knowledge about sensations of patients with skin carcinomas and to have data about characteristics of pain and pruritus . All patients presenting with a suspicions lesion for skin carcinomas will be included and will respond to a questionnaire. Demographics data, and histological data about skin carcinomas will be collected.
Standardized CEUS Algorithms for Diagnosis of HCC - Prospective German Multicenter Study
Hepatocellular CarcinomaCholangiocarcinoma5 moreAim of this prospective national multicenter study is to improve standardization of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the non-invasive diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in high-risk patients. The study is funded by the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM).
Post-radiation Hypothyroidism After IMRT for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
HypothyroidismComplicationsThe investigators evaluate if there are radiation dosimetric parameters for the prediction of biochemical and clinical hypothyroidism after intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
Investigation of Desmoplastic Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the SkinAim of the study is to verify wether it is possible to have a more sensitive diagnostic tool using pancytokeratin immunohistochemistry for desmoplastic squamous cell carcinoma compared to regular H&E staining. The investigators therefore plan to include 73 participants with a confirmed diagnosis of desmoplastic squamous cell carcinoma and do regular follow up.
The Cxbladder Monitoring Study
Urothelial CarcinomaThe aim of this trial is to determine the performance characteristics of the Cxbladder test for the detection of recurrent urothelial carcinoma (UC) in patients with a recent history of urinary tract UC, who have been treated according to standard practice and are undergoing routine investigative cystoscopy. The gold standard for determination of clinical truth is cystoscopy, plus any follow up investigations relating to the current visit.
Glycosaminoglycan Scores as Monitoring Biomarkers in Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma
CarcinomaRenal CellIn this study, glycosaminoglycan (GAG) profiling in subjects diagnosed with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) is hypothesized to be useful in monitoring drug response and predict radiological response. To this end, glycosaminoglycan scores based on longitudinal samples of plasma and urine in prospectively enrolled patients will be correlated to radiological response to first-line therapy based on current standard-of-care. A positive correlation indicates that glycosaminoglycan scores can successfully detect patients that are not responding to treatment before the scheduled follow-up in which radiological imaging is performed. Data on the extent of metastasis (number of metastatic sites) will be collected to assess whether glycosaminoglycans correlate accordingly.
Pair Production PET Imaging to Detect Particle Distribution in Patients Undergoing Yttrium-90 Radioembolization...
CarcinomaHepatocellularThe primary goal of the study is to see if the PET/CT will be able to determine the precise location of the Y-90 particles within the liver and within the tumors. We hope to use this information in order to see if these particles distribute evenly throughout large tumors or if the particles go into the tumor which is located in the portal vein. The secondary goals are threefold. First correlate the distribution of Y90 particles (as demonstrated by PET/CT) with the degree of dead-tumor tissue. Second, see if there is a difference in the Y90 particle's distribution when a low particle load (1-3 million particles) is used compared to when a high particle load (6-8 million particles) is used. Lastly, compare the sensitivity of standard imaging ( bremsstrahlung imaging) currently being used for the Yttrium-90 angioembolization procedure to the sensitivity of the pair production PET research imaging.
Evaluation by MRI of Anal Canal Cell Carcinoma: is There Predictive Factor?
Anal CarcinomaAnal canal cell carcinoma is a very rare cancer but well treated. If the morphological test are well established in the initial evaluation, it's not the case of the follow up evaluation particularly by MRI.About 1/3 of patient decline with metastatic relapse during the follow up of these patients. It appears that clinical regression seen precociously is a predictive factor of survival without relapse. But there 's no study confirming that point. This context takes us to evaluate if there is a predictive factor in MRI to final clinical result.
Genetic Profiling of Liver Cancer in Patients Undergoing Liver Transplantation
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThe purpose of this study is to determine whether genetic markers unique to liver cancer are present and to assess usefulness as a diagnostic tool.
