Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaIron-deficiency1 more

Primary purpose: To evaluate the difference of hematopoietic response rate at 1 month after concurrent chemoradiotherapy between iron isomaltide and oral iron supplement for treating iron-deficiency anemia patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Secondary purpose: To evaluate the difference of hematopoietic response rate, tolerance, acute side effects, qualtiy of life at 2 months and 3 months after concurrent chemoradiotherapy between Iron Isomaltide and oral iron supplement for treating iron-deficiency anemia patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

A Study of Chemoradiation in Combination With Tislelizumab as First Line Treatment in Participants...

Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

This study is a multicentre, randomised, parallel-controlled, open-label, 3 phase clinical trial. The subjects were untreated, unresectable locally advanced, recurrent or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma with low PD-L1 expression. Patients were randomly assigned to receive chemoradiation or chemotherapy in combination with Tislelizumab at a ratio of 1: 1. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) in the intention-to-treat population. We hypothesized that in advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients with low PD-L1 expression, chemoradiation versus chemotherapy in combination with Tislelizumab will significantly improve PFS.

Testing Different Amounts of the Combination of Drugs M1774 and ZEN-3694 for the Treatment of Recurrent...

Endometrial CarcinomaEndometrial Clear Cell Adenocarcinoma7 more

This phase Ib trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of M1774 when given with ZEN-3694 in treating patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer that has come back (recurrent). M1774 and ZEN-3694 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. M1774 and ZEN-3694 combined together has demonstrated to be better than either drug alone in killing ovarian tumor cells.

The Immune Effects of Fermented Wheat Germ Nutritional Supplementation in Patients With Advanced...

Advanced Colorectal CarcinomaAdvanced Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma14 more

This phase I clinical trial tests the immune effects of fermented wheat germ in patients with advanced solid tumor cancers who are being treated with standard of care checkpoint inhibitors. Fermented wheat germ is a nutritional supplement that some claim is a "dietary food for special medical purposes for cancer patients" to support them in treatment. There have also been claims that fermented wheat germ is "clinically proven" and "recognized by medical experts" to "enhance oncological treatment" and boost immune response to cancer; however, there are currently no documented therapeutic effects of fermented wheat germ as a nutritional supplement. Checkpoint inhibitors, given as part of standard of care for advanced solid tumors, are a type of immunotherapy that may help the body's immune system attack the cancer and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. The information gained from this trial may allow researchers to determine if there is any value of giving fermented wheat germ with standard of care checkpoint inhibitors for patients with advanced solid tumor malignancies.

Abemaciclib in Treating Patients With Surgically Resectable, Chemotherapy Resistant, Triple Negative...

Anatomic Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage IA Breast Cancer AJCC v823 more

This phase II trial studies how well abemaciclib works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that can be removed by surgery (resectable) and does not respond to treatment with chemotherapy alone, or in combination with pembrolizumab. Abemaciclib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
