The congestive heart failure is a common disease among patients who receive cardiac surgery and may lead to prolonged ventilation support. Nesiritide was a potential therapy for congestive heart failure. This study aimed to compare the Nesiritide induced hemodynamical status changes among congestive heart failure patients with invasive ventilation support.

This study is a prospective cohort study with consecutive enrollment of newly diagnosed heart failure patients, investigating the prevalence and types of arrhythmias in this high-risk population using non-invasive remote monitoring with the Coala Heart Monitor. Participants are scheduled to use the Coala Heart Monitor twice daily or during symptoms (e.g. syncope, presyncope, palpitations, chest discomfort, or shortness of breath) to record a thumb and chest ECG over 3 months. Patient compliance with the recordings, self-reported health, response to technology, and experience using the device will additionally be assessed by self-developed questionnaires and the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) at 3 months.

Single-cohort retrospective study evaluating the incidence and prognostic markers of heart failure following acute coronary syndrome treated by percutaneous coronary intervention

The role of ECMO in the treatment of patients with severe COVID-19 (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and/or acute refractory heart failure) is not yet known. The present study will aim to report the results of the ECMO management of the most severe forms of COVID-19 through the first French ECMO registry.

The purpose of this project is to improve mobility in the perioperative period using activity trackers to augment current practice. Delirium and poor functional status following ICU stays are intractable problems for which clear solutions do not exist. Digital health approaches have not been applied to these problems in the ICU setting and may represent a viable and unexplored intervention. The program will involve the utilization of an activity tracker in ambulating patients. There will be two arms to the program. The first will involve the longitudinal study of ambulating lung transplant patients. Patients will be given an activity tracker at time of transplant which will continue throughout their care into their first month at home. The data will be collected to identify correlation between activity and clinical outcomes.

The objective of this work is to investigate and then to sequence new biomarkers in the plasma of patients presenting with dyspnea secondary or not to heart failure, and study their diagnostic and prognostic value.

The goal of this study is to better characterize peripartum cardiomyoapthy or pregnancy-related cardiomyopathy by enrolling as many PPCM survivors as possible using both direct and web-based methods of recritment. It is possible to measure skeletal muscle tissue oxygenation (StO2) using near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS). It is performed non invasively. We want to compare usually used invasive methods for assessing adequacy of flow to StO2 in critically ill. Aim is to faster and non invasively estimate adequacy of flow to make therapeutic algorithms efficient.

The aim of this prospective study is to demonstrate if there is any difference in the treatment response to Sacubitril-Valsartan depending on the ventricular disfunction ethiology in patients with severe systolic disfunction heart failure.

Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) has recently gained increasing scientific interest in the field of cardiovascular disease, including its role in cell protection against osmotic and hydrostatic stress. Aortic stenosis (AS) is the most common valvular heart disease, affecting about 7.6 million people over 75 years of age in North America and Europe alone. We hypothesized that TMAO plays a role in protection of the cardiomyocytes against pressure overload in patients with AS. The primary aim of this study is to assess the correlation between the serum and urine TMAO concentration, and (i) echocardiographic, (ii) biochemical and (iii) histopathological parameters of heart failure in patients with severe AS. The secondary aim of this study is to evaluate a correlation between the baseline TMAO concentrations and the post-treatment clinical status, as well as the post-treatment echocardiographic and biochemical parameters.
