Minnesota Heart Survey - Risk Factor Survey
Cardiovascular DiseasesHeart Diseases4 moreTo continue surveillance of cardiovascular disease risk factors in the seven-county area of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Predictors of Perioperative Cardiac Morbidity
Cardiovascular DiseasesHeart Diseases4 moreTo determine the predictors of perioperative cardiac morbidity and mortality in patients at high risk who underwent major noncardiac surgery with general anesthesia.
Physicians' Health Study: Study of Low Cardiovascular Disease Mortality
Cardiovascular DiseasesHeart Diseases2 moreTo explain the extremely low cardiovascular mortality among Physicians' Health Study (PHS) participants by ascertaining all cardiovascular and total deaths among the 90,457 physicians who returned enrollment forms but were not randomized into the study. Also, to compare the mortality experience of randomized physicians with various subgroups of non-participants.
Natural History of Coronary Heart Disease
Cardiovascular DiseasesCoronary Disease8 moreTo examine the natural history of mortality due to coronary heart disease in post-myocardial infarction patients from the Beta-Blocker Heart Attack Trial (BHAT) and the Aspirin Myocardial Infarction Study (AMIS).
Radial Artery Bypass Graft Study of Tromsø
Coronary ArteriosclerosisMyocardial InfarctionThe purpose of this study is to answer, among others, the following questions: 1) What are the outcomes when using the radial artery as a bypass graft in coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG)? 2) Can multidetector computed tomography (CT) be used to reliably evaluate coronary artery bypass graft patency?
Flavonoids and Cardiovascular Disease
Cardiovascular DiseasesHeart Diseases3 moreTo determine the association between flavonoids intake and the prevention of incident cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Acute Myocardial Infarction in Native Versus Non-native Young Population in Saudi Arabia
Acute Myocardial InfarctionA retrospective study collecting the data of young patients admitted with diagnosis of Acute Myocardial Infarction.
Sweat Analysis as Prognosticator After Heart Attack
Acute Myocardial InfarctionThis study characterizes non-invasive body inflammation response in sweat and blood of patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction and explores the potential of non-invasive sweat analysis a an innovative approach for predicting patient outcome.
The Predictive Value of eGFR for Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Patients With STEMI
ST Elevation Myocardial InfarctionEstimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) is significantly reduced in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The aim of this study is to research that the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction is significantly higher when the glomerular filtration rate below a certain value.
Prospective Outpatient Registry of Myocardial Infarction Patients
Myocardial InfarctionThe investigators enrolled 160 patients who visited Moscow state outpatient clinic №9 (and its two branches) within six months after acute myocardial infarction. The enrollment lasted from 01.03.2014 to 01.07.2015. The observation period is five years. During the first year after enrollment in the study, patients had follow-up visits every two months, from second-year every six months. Analysis of the prescribed therapy and its changes was carried out by the cardiologist in the clinic for the entire observation period, taking into account the concomitant diseases /indications/contraindications. Endpoints (the death, repeated cardiovascular complications (AMI, stroke), emergency hospitalization due to worsening of the main cardiovascular disease, the appearance of clinically significant cardiac arrhythmias, invasive interventions) were defined during out-patient visits and telephone contact
