The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an association between adverse physical and/or psychological outcome in ICU survivors and the caregiver burden for their relatives. We hypothesize that relatives to ICU survivors with an incomplete physical and/or psychological recovery three months after ICU stay report a higher caregiver burden.

Studying caregiver burden may help investigators learn about caregivers' opinions on stress of caregiving, and about the factors related to caregiver burdens.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact that serving as a caregiver for a patient undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant has on the caregiver. This will include looking at the caregiver's level of burden, depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms, fatigue and overall distress. It will also look at whether caregiver burden leads to an increase in hospitalization and overall outcome.

The present study registration relates to a quantitative sub-study of a larger mixed method study, including also a qualitative sub-study. Together, these investigations will provide complementary insights. The quantitative study is a follow-up study of close relatives (> 16 years) of patients in treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) who participated in a group-based 4-day psychoeducational program.

Mindfulness After Stroke

The purpose of this study is to test the relevance, satisfaction and ease-of-use of an online mindfulness intervention among stroke survivors and their caregivers. Quality of life, depression, anxiety, stress and sleep quality will be assessed before, after and at 1 month after the intervention. After the intervention, participants' feedback about the usability and the satisfaction with the intervention and the online program will be gathered. Based on participants' feedback, changes to the intervention will be made to obtain a final version.
