RATIONALE: Taking part in a clinical trial may help children with cancer receive more effective treatment. PURPOSE: Determine why patients who are eligible for protocols made available through the Pediatric Oncology Group do not enroll in them, and develop strategies to increase enrollment on these clinical trials.

This is a retrospective study to collect already existing data and images from patients ≥ 2 years of age who had MRI for CNS diseases with MultiHance administration at a standard 0.10 mmol/kg dose or the half dose of 0.05 mmol/kg. The MRI images of all included patients will be prospectively reviewed in a blinded read to compare the efficacy of the two doses.

Tumours of central nervous system (CNS) is the most common type of solid tumour in childhood. In China, there is limited epidemiology information. Released data from Chinese CDC did not include types of CNS tumours and geographic contribution. As the Children's Neuro-Oncology Group (CNOG) was established in China in May 2017, it makes studies from multiple centers in children's brain tumors become practical. This retrospective cross-sectional study was aligned on CNOG annual meeting in 2018 and research group was named as CNOG-MC001 (MC, multicenter) collaborative group.

This pilot clinical trial studies trivalent influenza vaccine in preventing flu in patients with central nervous system (CNS) tumors. Flu vaccine may help the body build an effective immune response and help prevent flu in patients who are receiving chemotherapy for CNS tumors

RATIONALE: Studying samples of tumor tissue and blood from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help doctors predict how patients will respond to treatment. PURPOSE: This research study is looking at tissue and blood samples from patients with low-grade glioma.

RATIONALE: Determination of genetic markers for leukemia or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that is secondary to Hodgkin's disease and childhood brain tumors may help doctors to identify patients who are at risk for these cancers. PURPOSE: Clinical trial to determine the presence of certain genes in patients who are receiving treatment for Hodgkin's disease or childhood brain tumors.

RATIONALE: The identification of gene mutations in young patients with pleuropulmonary blastoma syndrome may allow doctors to better understand the genetic processes involved in the development of some types of cancer, and may also help doctors identify patients who are at risk for cancer. PURPOSE: This research study studies gene mutations in samples from young patients with pleuropulmonary blastoma syndrome at risk for developing cancer.

RATIONALE: Studying samples of cerebrospinal fluid from patients with cancer or meningeal syndrome may help doctors identify biomarkers related to cancer. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying cerebrospinal fluid samples in diagnosing carcinomatous meningitis in patients with cancer or meningeal syndrome.

This multi-institutional study will prospectively collect tumor and constitutional tissue samples from patients with diffuse brainstem glioma and other types of brainstem gliomas either during therapy or at autopsy to perform an extensive analysis of genetic and molecular abnormalities in these tumors.

RATIONALE: Gathering information about how often metabolic syndrome occurs in young survivors of childhood cancer may help doctors learn more about the disease. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying metabolic syndrome in survivors of childhood cancer and in their healthy sisters and brothers.
