Cranio- Cervical Flexion Training With and Without Pressure Biofeedback in Mechanical Neck Pain...
Mechanical Neck PainThe superficial neck flexor musculature has been given considerate amount of attention to explore its effects on the cervical pain in several researches.. This study intends to put through the benefits of deep cervical flexor training for treatment of cervical neck pain patients. This study will also compare the effects of Cranio cervical flexion training with and without pressure biofeedback on neck pain, muscular endurance, forward head posture and cervical mobility in mechanical neck pain.
The Effect Of Kinesio Tape In Chronic Neck Pain
Chronic Neck PainThis study was planned to investigate the efficacy of treatment for Kinesio tape application in chronic neck pain individuals. A total of 44 individuals were randomly divided into two groups (study group: 22, control group: 22). Conventional physiotherapy methods including active (exercise) and passive (hotpack, ultrasound and conventional transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)) treatment were applied to all subjects for 15 sessions (5 days a week). In addition to the individuals in the study group, Kinesio tape application was performed at the end of each session. Pain (Visual Analogue Scale), pressure pain threshold (digital algometer), range of motion (CROM device), muscle strength (Hand-Held Dynamometer), muscle endurance, pectoralis minor muscle length, quality of life (Nottingham Health Profile) and depressive symptoms (Beck Depression Scale) assessments were performed before treatment, on the second day of treatment and after treatment (after three weeks). Treatment satisfaction with individuals (Visual Analogue Scale) was assessed on the 2nd day of treatment and post-treatment (after three weeks).
Effects of Low Versus High Frequency Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Chronic Neck Pain...
Neck PainChronic Pain1 moreComparison between high and low frequency percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation as treatment of myofascial chronic neck pain. The main hypothesis is that low frequency treatment will have more hypoalgesic effects than high frequency, and low frequency effects will last longer.

Immediate Effect of a Single Cervical Spinal Manipulation
Neck PainObjective: The aim of the present study is to analyze the immediate effect of a single cervical spinal manipulation on cervical movement pattern. Further, To perform the sample size calculation, the investigators took into consideration that the investigators pretend to achieve a medium effect size (d=0.5) of the differences with two groups (EG and CG) and two aimed to explore the impact on pain, disability and patient's improvement-perceived sensation, comparing with a placebo. Methods: The study design is experimental and purposive sampling was used to select the study participants. The grouping allocation was randomized. The people volunteer to participate in the study, are assigned to the experimental group (EG) that will receive a single manipulation, to the control group (CG) that will receive a single placebo treatment. The participants will be assessed twice, one before the treatment and the other, after the end. Head movement is recorded by means of a video-photogrammetry system from the coordinates of a set of eight reflective markers located on a helmet. The movements will be record at 200 fps. In each evaluation, the perceived pain and the neck disability index are also recorded. And the impression of change is evaluated only in the second evaluation. Outcomes. Pain, Disability of the neck, Impression of Change, Range of motion (RoM), Maximum angular velocity (MAV), Maximum angular acceleration (MAA) and Harmonicity (HARM). Intervention: The intervention, in both groups, it includes only one session that lasted 15 minutes approximately: a) Cervical manipulation intervention and b)Placebo intervention.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia in Chronic Spinal Pain
Chronic Low Back PainChronic Neck Pain1 moreChronic spinal pain (CSP) includes chronic low back and neck pain. CSP is a highly prevalent and severely debilitating disorder characterized by tremendous personal and socioeconomic impact, long-term sick leave, low quality of life and very high socioeconomical costs. The current strategies for treating CSP are not yet optimal in reducing pain and related disability, urging the need for improvement. A possible problem is that the current approaches are often to limited and only address pain. Current treatments for CSP do not address associated complaints like sleeping problems which are however important issues. If present, sleeping problems may contribute to CSP severity and related disability. If left untreated, they represent a barrier for effective CSP management. Up to now, however, sleeping problems are hardly addressed and if so, it is mostly limited to sleeping medication. This is a problem since the efficacy and safety of drug treatment has not been established. Therefore, within the current innovative project we propose examining the added value of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to the current best physical therapy treatment for CSP. CBT-I includes changing negative thoughts about sleep, sleep hygiene, altering sleeping patterns, and teaching relaxation skills. The objectives of the study are to examine if CBT-I combined with the modern physical therapy approach (education about pain followed by exercise therapy) is more effective than the modern physical therapy approach alone for reducing pain, improving sleep and functionality in CSP patients with sleeping problems. Therefore 120 CSP patients with sleeping problems will be randomly divided over the 2 treatment programs (60 per group) and will be assessed before and after their 14-week therapy program consisting of 18 therapy sessions. Comparisons will be made for pain severity, sleep quality and functionality.
Effectiveness of Proprioceptive Exercise in Neck Pain
Neck PainIntroduction: Neck pain is among the most common and costly for industrialized societies. It is difficult to know the exact structure causing the pain so most are considered as non-specific neck pain. There is a correlation between the alteration of craneocervical proprioception and neck pain. The evidence for treatment with proprioceptive exercises is very limited. Objective: To know the efficacy of a proprioceptive exercise program for neck pain and to compare its effects with a cervical mobility program. Materials and Methods: Subjects between 18-65 years old with non-traumatic neck pain are included. They will be randomized into two groups of exercises: proprioception or mobility, which will be developed over a period of two weeks, every day, with a total of 10 sessions per patient.

Sleep Disturbance,Physical and Mental Fatigue on Mechanical Neck Pain
Mechanical Neck PainMechanical neck pain is a prevalent problem in community and it can lead to disability. In current community, increasing of life stress on individual may lead to sleep disorders, mental and physical fatigue. Objectives of study is to investigate the effect of sleep quality, mental and physical fatigue on mechanical neck pain. Methods and Materials Two hundred thirty individuals were having mechanical neck pain . Neck disability index, chalder fatigue scale and Pittsburg sleep quality index were applied on all individuals participating in the study , NDI was used to determine the pain and functional disability of the participants , PSQI was used to assess the sleep quality, lastly the CFS was used to determine
