Cervix CancerEndometrium Cancer2 moreThe protocol aims at demonstrating the technical feasibility and safety of doing endomicroscopic imaging (both probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) and needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy, nCLE) during colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and surgical procedures (open surgery and laparoscopic robot assisted or not) to examine all pelvic tissues including cervix, uterus, adnexia, peritoneum, normal and pathologic aspect.

Cervical CancerThis phase I clinical study was designed to evaluate the safety of novel recombinant HPV 16/18 bivalent vaccine, manufactured by Xiamen Innovax Biotech CO., LTD., in healthy women 18-55 years of age at enrolment. Approximately 30 study subjects will receive the novel HPV vaccine administered intramuscularly according to a 0-1-6 month schedule.

Breast CancerCervical CancerThe long-term goal of this study is to build a sustainable,community-based outreach program using Korean American community health workers (CHWs) to promote breast and cervical screening among Korean American women, thereby reducing related morbidity and mortality. The study is designed to determine the effectiveness of a health literacy-focused tailored breast and cervical cancer control intervention delivered by CHWs. The investigators hypothesized that, compared to KA women in the delayed intervention group, KA women who receive a health literacy-focused CHW intervention will demonstrate: (1) higher levels of adherence to screening for breast and cervical cancer, (2) greater levels of health literacy, (3) higher levels of breast and cervical cancer knowledge, and (4) improve decisional balance.

Cervical CancerCervical Intraepithelial NeoplasiaHuman papillomavirus (HPV)-based cervical screening is known to increase sensitivity for detection of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Randomized trials of longitudinal efficacy are required to assess whether these gains represent overdiagnosis or a protective effect. Methods: A total of 12527 women, aged 32-38, attending population-based invitational screening in Sweden were randomized 1:1 to HPV test and cytology (intervention arm) or cytology only (control arm). HPV-positive women were invited for a second HPV test at least one year later and women with type-specific persistent infections were then invited to colposcopy. A similar number of random double-blinded procedures are performed in the control arm. Women are followed with comprehensive registry-based follow-up. Primary outcome is the relative rates of CIN grade 2 or worse (CIN2/CIN3+) found in subsequent screening. Secondary outcomes are the relative rates of CIN2/CIN3+ found in the aseline screening and outcomes stratified by grade of CIN (CIN 2 or CIN3+).

Chemoprevention is the use of certain substances to keep cancer from forming, growing, or coming back. The use of green tea extract may stop cervical cancer from forming in patients with human papillomavirus and low-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. It is not yet known whether green tea extract is more effective than a placebo in preventing cervical cancer in patients with human papillomavirus and low-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
