Stress Echocardiography Versus Exercise ECG (ExECG) in Women With Chest Pain
Coronary Artery DiseaseThe overall question the investigators would like to help answer is whether SE with or without MCE data can be widely used as a first line investigation in women with no previous history of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) who present with chest pain of recent onset. In order to answer this question the investigators will look at the following: i) Is SE superior to ExECG in terms of cost to diagnosis and negative predictive value of CAD? ii) What is the additive value of myocardial perfusion data to wall motion data for predicting significant CAD on angiography and future cardiac events in women? iii) What is the additive value of Carotid ultrasonography in a large population of women referred for stress testing?
ProspEctive First Evaluation in Chest Pain Trial
Chest PainShortness of Breath1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine the best initial test in patients admitted to the hospital complaining of chest pain.
Sonography in an Unselected Population of Acute Admitted Patients With Respiratory Symptoms
DyspnoeaChest Pain1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine whether focused sonography of the heart, lungs and deep veins can increase the number of patients with respiratory symptoms correctly diagnosed in an emergency department.
Low Dose One-Day Tc99m Protocol With a High-Efficiency Cardiac Dedicated Gamma Camera For Detection...
Chest PainA prospective single clinical trial to validate the use of a low-dose (~5mSv) Tc-99m protocol with a high-efficiency cardiac dedicated camera (Dynamic Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography; D-SPECT) to detect myocardial perfusion abnormalities during myocardial perfusion imaging.
Assessment of New Biomarkers in the Management and Triage of Patients With Chest Pain and Suspicion...
Coronary SyndromeTo assess diagnostic and prognostic value of new biomarkers in patients admitted for suspicion of non ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE ACS).
Usefulness of 64 Slice Multi-Detector Computed Tomography as a First Diagnostic Approach in Acute...
Chest PainsThe purpose of this study is to determine the usefulness of 64 slice multi-detector computed tomography as a first diagnostic approach in acute chest pain patients in emergency room
Serratus Plane Block for Rib Fractures
Chest TraumaChest PainPatients with ipsilateral multiple rib fractures will be randomized to receive either a single-shot ultrasound-guided serratus plane block, or a continuous serratus plane block within 24h from the chest trauma. Primary outcome is the difference in forced respiratory volume (FEV1) at 72h.
Treatment of Panic Disorder Among Individuals Consulting Emergency Departments for Non Cardiac Chest...
Panic DisorderAnxiety Disorder1 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess the impact of three different treatment modalities on panic symptoms, quality of life and use of health services among individuals consulting an emergency department for non cardiac chest pain and having Panic Disorder.
Low-Dose Coronary Computed Tomographic Angiography for Early Triage of Acute Chest Pain
Chest PainThis study is to see whether the low-dose coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) protocol is as safe and efficacious as conventional-dose protocol in early triage of acute chest pain.
Ideal Initial Bolus and Infusion Rate for Erector Spinae Plane Block Catheters
PainPostoperative2 moreThis study would like to identify the best starting dose and infusion rate for nerve blocks and nerve catheters related to the erector spinae plane block that can improve functional status and pain control on cardiac surgery patients and minimize the necessity for opioid pain control using a continuous reassessment model.
