Primary Biliary CholangitisPrimary Biliary Cirrhosis4 moreThe purpose of this open-label study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of HDT1801 (BUDCA) over 12 weeks in adult subjects with PBC who have an inadequate response to standard therapy. Inadequate response is defined as persistently elevated serum alkaline phosphatase at greater than or equal to1.5 times the upper limits of normal for the testing lab in spite of having been on adequate doses of standard therapy with UDCA (ursodeoxycholic acid) at 13-15 mg/kg for at least 6 months.

The Comparisons of One-stage Stone Removal in Mild and Moderate Cholangitis
Cholangitis; CholedocholithiasisIn expert comment, performing the sphincterotomy for choledocholithiasis with acute cholangitis may increase bleeding and pancreatitis risks (from 2% to 10%). Therefore, investigators often perform biliary drainage in acute stage, and arrange 2nd session ERCP for stone removal later. However, in the recent study, single-stage endoscopic treatment may be still effective (stone removal rate 90%) and safe for mild to moderate acute cholangitis associated with choledocholithiasis. Investigators will carry out a prospective trial to analyze one-stage retrograde endoscopic common bile duct stone removal in mild and moderate cholangitis with choledocholithiasis to determine the safety, successful rate, and complications in these two groups.

The reference for the visualization of the biliary and pancreatic ducts is a relatively long sequence that needs a breathing-synchronized acquisition leading to artefacts on the images (blur effect). In order to reduce and/or standardize the acquisition time as well as to limit artefacts, accelerated sequences are developed. Such sequence is available in France recently in the form of WIP Siemens (Work In Progress: sequence in test phase at manufacturer to be marketed in the short or medium term on clinical machines). It incorporates a Compressed Sensing (CS) acquisition scheme allowing the acquisition of a 3D (3 dimensions) sequence similar to the usual sequence by drastically reducing the acquisition time, the sequence CS-SPACE. This sequence exists in two forms: An ultra-rapid sequence acquired in apnea An accelerated sequence but remaining synchronized with the breath.
