Aerobic Exercise Training in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B and Hepatic Steatosis
Hepatitis BChronic1 moreThis study is a randomised, controlled, unblinded, clinical intervention trial consisting of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise training. Thirty persons with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and hepatic steatosis are randomised to either aerobic exercise training (intervention group, n=15) or no intervention (control group, n=15). The study will investigate the effects of the exercise intervention on the liver and the hypothesis is that the exercise group will reduce the fat-fraction of the liver after the intervention.

This study is aimed to exploit the safety and efficacy of the study drug, Peginterferon alfa-2b injection, with nucleos(t)ide (NAs), tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets (TDF), in the patients with hepatitis B, who has previously treated with nucleos(t)ides and who are treatment naïve.

Hepatitis BHepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, especially chronic, is a significant worldwide medical problem. This is an exploratory study of the therapeutic mechanism of GSK3228836 in participants with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) on stable nucleos(t)ide therapy (which is the first line therapy for CHB). This study is a Phase IIa, multi-center open label exploratory study of the therapeutic mechanism of GSK3228836 in participants with hepatitis B virus e-antigen (HBeAg)-negative CHB on stable nucleos(t)ide therapy using repeat fine needle aspirations of the liver for intrahepatic immunophenotyping. It will investigate the virologic and immunologic correlates of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) loss observed in participants when treated for 12 weeks with 300 milligrams (mg) GSK3228836. Repeat fine needle aspirates of the liver will be performed to enable analysis of liver-resident immune cells to investigate any immunomodulatory properties of GSK3228836 and to study the biology of underlying treatment-associated liver flares. The study will consist of a screening, treatment, and post-treatment follow-up phase. Approximately 20 participants will be enrolled in the study.

Participants will be randomized to receive GSK3228836 for 12 or 24 weeks followed by up to 24 weeks of PegIFN.

Hepatitis BChronicThis is a study designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of New Molecular Entity (NME) combination therapies in Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) participants with preserved liver function and without significant fibrosis/cirrhosis. The platform design allows comparison of multiple NME combination therapies against a common control, and introduction of additional treatment arms at later study time points. Each arm will consist of a screening phase (up to 8 weeks), treatment phase (up to 48 weeks) and post-treatment follow-up phase (48 weeks). The safety and efficacy will be monitored throughout the study.
