Safety and Efficacy Study of NovoRapid™ in Patients With Coexisting Diabetes and Kidney Disease...
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus4 moreThis study is conducted in Asia. The aim of this observational study is to investigate the clinical safety profile and effectiveness while using SC NovoRapid™ (insulin aspart) in patients with coexisting diabetes and kidney disease under normal clinical practice conditions in India.
Project Aura: Co-design of a Home-based Monitoring Service
Anemia of Chronic Kidney DiseaseCo-design of a home-based haemoglobin monitoring system with participants with anaemia of chronic kidney disease.
Safety and Efficacy of Sofosbuvir Based Antiviral Regimen for Treating Hepatitis C in Patients With...
CKD With Hepatitis CAll patients with chronic kidney disease (stages 3, 4 and 5) and chronic dialysis patients with HCV infection attending nephrology and Hepatology OPD or getting outpatient dialysis at the dialysis unit of ILBS.
Mechanisms of Infertility and Hormonal Changes in Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease
InfertilityPatients with chronic kidney disease (both men and women), especially those with terminal renal failure, manifest infertility. There has been demonstrated several hormonal changes in patients on dialysis. Increased levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) has been seen in men (12). In women the opposite has been reported. The number of spermatocytes is reduced and a disturbance in maturation has been observed. This project is aimed to study the influence of uremic milieu on fertility in men and women. The hypopituitary/hypothalamus gland axis and hormonal levels will be studied.
Assessment of a Follow-up With Tele-consulting for Patients With Renal Failure Under Peritoneal...
Chronic Renal FailurePeritoneal DialysisThe objective of the study is to determine whether tele-consulting for the follow up of patients with renal failure under peritoneal dialysis would not increase the risk of experiencing a severe adverse event
Role of Chronic Kidney Disease in Cardiovascular Disease
Cardiovascular DiseasesHeart Diseases2 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine how the progressive loss of kidney function influences cardiovascular disease.
Evaluation of New Markers to Assess Kidney Function
Chronic Kidney DiseaseGlomerular filtration rate (GFR) is widely accepted as the best index of kidney function in health and disease, and accurate values are required for optimal clinical decision making and in large-scale epidemiologic studies and clinical trials. Current recommended methods for measuring GFR are expensive, cumbersome to administer and assay and requires urine collection and administration of radioactive materials. The purpose of this study is to evaluate two non-radioactive markers (iohexol and gadolinium) compared to urinary clearance of inulin and iothalamate. The investigators hypothesize that plasma clearance of non-radioactive markers will be unbiased compared to a gold standard and more precise than currently used urinary clearance methods.
Monocentric Retrospective Cohort Study of the Impact of Advanced Nursing Practice on the Follow-up...
Renal DiseaseWith regard to the fields of competence of advanced practice defined by the Order of October 22, 2021 amending the Order of July 18, 2018 on the system of studies for the State diploma of advanced practice nurse mentioning renal disease, dialysis and renal transplantation (MRDT) and the latest recommendations of the French National Authority for Health (HAS) of July 1 2021 on the monitoring of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) has its place in improving practices and the care pathway of patients suffering from end-stage chronic renal failure (CKD). In the literature, there are a number of studies arguing the benefits of advanced practice nurse follow-up with patients suffering from chronic renal failure (CKD) in terms of improving their psycho-social and self-care skills. However, few studies, particularly in France, demonstrate its role in the coordination of care. By virtue of their training, advanced practice nurse with an disease, dialysis and renal transplantation (MRDT) specialization acquire skills in managing pretransplant assessment files and in planning the creation of arteriovenous fistula (AVF), which enable them to be autonomous and relevant professionals in the coordination of these processes. This is why it seems appropriate to look at the added value that advanced nursing practice can bring to the follow-up of these patients.
Health Care Personnel Time for Anemia Management With Erythropoiesis Stimulating Agents in Hemodialysis...
Renal Anemia of Chronic Kidney DiseaseThis study is to document the time spent by health care personnel on anemia-related tasks, including preparation, distribution and administration of monopegylated epoetin beta (Mircera) or other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) in patients with end stage renal disease in hemodialysis centers in Croatia. The total average time will be determined for the same number of patients on monopegylated epoetin beta and patients on other ESAs. In addition, qualitative information will be obtained on changes in practice patterns that may have occurred with the introduction of monopegylated epoetin beta.
Artificial Intelligence: a New Alternative to Analyse CKD-MBD in Hemodialysis
Chronic Kidney Disease Mineral and Bone DisorderThe regulation of calcium, phosphate and parathyroid hormone in hemodialysis is complex and each parameter is not independently regulated. Simultaneous modification in these three parameters are the result of abnormal mineral metabolism and the treatment used. The specific objective of this work is an accurate and exhaustive analysis and description of the complex relationships between clinically relevant parameters in chronic kidney disease metabolism bone disease. In order to achieve these objectives we have used a machine learning approach Random Forest able to extract useful knowledge from a large database. The analysis of the complex interactions between the different parameters needs an advance mathematical approach such as Random Forest . The second aim of this study is to determine whether calcium, phosphate and parathyroid hormone, Fibroblast growth factor 23 and calcitriol are long-term associated with demographic features, mortality, co-morbidity and the therapy prescribed. We will analyze in a prospective study on incident patients, whether the use of this new model may predict the cardiovascular risk..
