Study of Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) With PerioWave vs. SRP Alone in Chronic Periodontitis
PeriodontitisThis study is to determine whether scaling and root planning (SRP) followed by photodynamic disinfection results in improved outcomes that persist over time in adults with chronic periodontitis when compared with subjects with SRP alone.
Antibiotic and Probiotic Therapies in the Adjuvant Treatment of the Chronic Periodontitis.
Chronic Periodontitis ComplexCurrently, with the increase of bacterial resistance to antibiotics associated with its side effects, it is necessary to find other adjuncts to combat the disease that are an alternative to the use of antibiotics. The use of probiotics has been proposed in the literature as an adjunct therapy for the treatment of periodontal diseases, however, few controlled and randomized clinical studies have been performed. The objective of this double-blind randomized controlled trial will be to evaluate the response of clinical and microbiological periodontal parameters to the comparison of two different adjuvant therapies (antibiotic and probiotic) for the treatment of stages II and III grade B periodontitis.
"Efficacy Of 1.2% Rosuvastatin Gel In The Management Of Infrabony Defects"
Adult PeriodontitisStudy aims to evaluate clinical and radiographic effectiveness of 1.2% Rosuvastatin gel in the treatment of Infrabony defects in chronic periodontitis patients.
IL-34 Levels in Various Types of Periodontitis
Chronic PeriodontitisAggressive PeriodontitisThe objective of this study is to 1) identification of the impact of IL-34 on the pathogenesis of periodontal disease and determine whether any relationship among the existing levels of Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) Interleukin 34( IL-34 )and GCF Receptor activator of nuclear factor -kB ligand (RANKL), osteoprotegerin (OPG) and RANKL/OPG ratio, as a mediator of bone resorption 2) analysis of the impact of non-surgical periodontal treatment on GCF IL-34 levels in patients with chronic periodontitis (CP) and aggressive periodontitis (AgP) and 3) to correlate between biochemical markers and clinical recordings
Adjunct Photodynamic Therapy in Chronic Periodontitis Among Cigarette-smokers.
Chronic PeriodontitisSmokingThis study evaluates the efficacy of scaling and root planing with and without adjunct antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) in the treatment of chronic periodontitis (CP) among cigarette-smokers and never-smokers.
Periodontal Therapy in Thalassemia Major Patients
Thalassemia MajorChronic PeriodontitisThe study aims to evaluate the effect of local non surgical periodontal therapy on the systemic pro-inflammatory markers in the β-thalassemia (TM-β) patients with chronic periodontitis and systemically healthy demographically matched controls with chronic periodontitis. Both groups will receive non surgical periodontal therapy.
The Adjunctive Effect of Probiotics to Non Surgical Treatment of Chronic Periodontitis
Chronic PeriodontitisEvaluation of clinical and microbiological effect of lactobacillus reuteri probiotics.
Evaluation of Local Delivery of Aloe Vera Gel as an Adjunct to Non-surgical Treatment in Patients...
Chronic PeriodontitisAim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of Aloe vera gel as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) in the management of chronic periodontitis.
A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of ALH-L1005 in Patients With Chronic Periodontitis...
Chronic PeriodontitisThe main objective of this study is to evaluate efficacy and safety of ALH-L1005 in patients with chronic periodontitis
Periostin and Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal DiseasesA total of 90 subjects, 30 patients with chronic periodontitis, 30 with gingivitis and 30 periodontally healthy subjects were included. Patients with periodontal disease received non-surgical periodontal treatment. Gingival crevicular fluid periostin levels were assessed at baseline, at the 6th week and the 3rd month after treatment.
