The purpose of this study is to compare pain level (according to numerical score)at 4, 8, 12 and 24 postoperative hours between patients under transverse abdominal plain blockade (TAP) and patients under conventional analgesia. Also the opioid consumption is assessed.

The investigators examined whether a written plus verbal preoperative counseling for patients undergoing open cholecystectomy would improve perioperative symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and pain.

Hypothesis: The combined use of Clonidine and Morphine in caudal anesthesia provides better postoperative analgesia than either drug alone after urogenital pediatric surgery.

The aim of the study is to quantify postoperative pain after functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and investigate whether preemptive analgesia may positively impact intraoperative anesthetic management, decrease patient postoperative pain and discomfort, and improve patient functional outcomes.

Patients undergoing keyhole gall bladder removal will be divided into 3 groups, one control, one will have local anaesthetic and the third will have normal saline nebulised into their abdomen before closure of the wounds to reduce postoperative pain. Hysterectomy is the most common major gynecologic surgery performed in the US and is performed for a variety of indications including malignancy, pelvic mass, endometriosis, leiomyoma, and pelvic organ prolapse. The traditional regimen for pain control post-operatively is opioid-based however in light of the opioid epidemic, a transition to non-opioid pain medication regimens is desired by both physicians and patients alike. The goal of this study is to develop a multimodal non-opioid pain medication regimen that minimizes postoperative opioid use after robotic assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Historical controls from January, 2017 to January, 2020 will be compared to our treatment arm from November, 2020 to November, 2022. Included in our treatment protocol is paracervical block and local ropivacaine at abdominal incision sites at surgical start, gabapentin and acetaminophen preoperatively and postoperatively, and celecoxib postoperatively. Opioid use will be measured 0-3 h postop and 3-24h postop (as surrogate marker of time spent recovering in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and during the full length of hospital stay); pain scores will additionally be measured.

The purpose of this randomized clinical trial was to evaluate the incidence of postoperative pain after root canal treatment using different final irrigation protocols. Patients whom need root canal treatment for first time were included. The presence of postoperative pain was assessed after root canal treatment cases at 12, 24, 48, 72 hrs and 1 week.
