Postoperative Pain of Rotary Versus Reciprocating Motions of Two Single Files
Postoperative PainAn equivalent parallel randomized clinical trial was approved by the local University Committee of Ethics. 260 children with necrotic primary molars were allocated into 2 equal groups (82 children per group). The participants were allocated into two groups; group "1" teeth were instrumented with OneShape rotary system (Micro Mega, Besancon, France), and group "2" teeth were instrumented with WaveOne Gold reciprocating system (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland). Postoperative pain was assessed using a four-point pain intensity rating scale adopted from Wong-Baker FACES (WBF) pain scale . The face scale consists of four faces with a brief title describing each face representing a scale from the first face (score 1), second face (score 2), third face (score 3), and forth face (score 4) 3. Postoperative pain was assessed at 6 six time intervals (at 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 hours and one-week).

Thoracic Paravertebral Block Versus Rhomboid Block for Postoperative Pain Control in Thoracic Surgeries...
Postoperative PainThe main aim of this study is to compare thoracic paravertebral block and rhomboid block for postoperative analgesia and analgesic usage in thoracic surgeries.

Combination Dexamethasone and Bupivacaine Pain Control in Reduction Mammaplasty
PainPostoperative1 moreThe addition of dexamethasone to non-liposomal bupivacaine in perineural blocks has been shown to enhance pain control and prolong the time until first request for postoperative narcotics in the fields of orthopedic, thoracic, and gynecologic surgery. This has not been investigated in any types of breast surgery. The investigators assessed if the combination of dexamethasone to bupivacaine in the preoperative field block prior to bilateral breast reduction surgery resulted in improved pain control relative to bupivacaine alone.

Comparison of Analgesic Efficacy of PENB Block With FICB in Post Operative Hip Fracture Patients...
Post-operative Pain ManagementHip Fracture SurgeryThis study was done to evaluate two different interventions for postoperative pain control in patients undergoing hip surgeries. Fifty patients, divided in two equal groups, were included in the study. Patients in Group P were given pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block while those in Group F were given fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB). Pain score, using Numeric Rating scale as a measurement tool, was assessed at one, six, eighteen and twenty fours after the procedure as a primary outcome. Total tramadol consumption in milligrams was recorded as a secondary outcome.

Pain Reduction Using Two Cold Irrigating Protocols in Teeth With Vital Pulps.
Post Operative PainThe goal of this clinical research was to relate the incidence of post-endodontic pain after one-visit root canal treatment using two cold protocols of irrigation. Methodology: All 240 patients had upper or lower molar, premolar or anterior teeth selected for conventional root canal treatment for prosthetic reasons detected with only vital pulps (symptomatic or asymptomatic condition). Of the sample of 240 teeth, were selected to different manner to irrigate. Reciproc instruments were used with a micro motor (VDW, Munich Germany). Final irrigation with cold (6oC, 2.5 oC and room temperature 17% EDTA and saline solution served as a lubricants.

Temperature and Pain in Laparoscopy
Intraoperative TemperaturePostoperative Pain1 moreThe aim of this investigation is to assess the impact of forced air warming, warm humidified insufflation gas and the combination of the two on intraoperative temperature maintenance and the postoperative pain course as well as the fibrinolytic activity in peritoneal fluid following laparoscopic procedures (duration > 60 min) in a prospective, randomized, controlled, mono-centric study. Therefore 150 subjects will be randomized in 3 groups of 50 subjects each. First group will be treated with forced-air warming blanket (bair hugger). Second group will be treated with warmed, humidified insufflation via the F&P HumiGard™ Surgical Humidification System. Third group will be treated with both, warming blankets and warmed, humidified insufflation. The peri-operative temperature of patients might be higher in patients of the third group with the combination of both treatments. The investigators hypothesize that VAS scores for pain (especially shoulder pain), and MEDD usage will differ between groups. Wound infection incidence and time spent in PACU are also expected to differ. Fibrinolytic activity in the peritoneal fluid is expected to be higher in patients undergoing laparoscopic procedures with humidified gas insufflation, since the trauma to the peritoneum will be less.

Effect of Ureteral Access Sheath Use on Postoperative Pain Level in Patients Undergoing RIRS
UrolithiasisThis study will include patients aged between 18 and 70 who will undergo retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) due to renal stone(s). A total of 80 patients (male or female) will be recruited, and will be randomized into 2 groups consisting of 40 patients in each group. The first group of patients will undergo RIRS with a ureteral access sheath (UAS) positioned prior to surgery; and the second group will undergo RIRS without UAS. As use of UAS decreases the pressure in the renal pelvis during RIRS, it is aimed to evaluate whether using UAS or not affects the level of pain felt by patients in the postoperative period.

Evaluation And Risk Assessment For Persistent Postsurgical Pain After Breast Surgery
Breast CancerChronic Pain3 morePre-existing pain and severe postoperative pain are predictors of persistent pain after surgery, but a complete understanding on the development of persistent pain is still lacking. The study aims to identify clinically relevant and genetic risk factors for persistent postsurgical pain that can be reliably distinguished statistically.

Preoperative IV Versus Oral Acetaminophen
PainPostoperativeThe current study proposes to examine whether there is a significant difference in patient outcomes related to the administration route of preoperative Acetaminophen. Specifically, the study will compare outcomes of surgical patients who receive IV Acetaminophen with surgical patients who receive oral Acetaminophen.

Potential Benefit of the Combination of Metamizole and Ibuprofen After Third Lower Molar Extraction...
PainPostoperativePostoperative pain is common and particularly outpatients may experience unsatisfactory pain relief. This randomized, double-blind, crossover study of postoperative pain in outpatients undergoing split-mouth, third lower molar extraction aims to examine whether or not the combination of metamizole and ibuprofen is superior to either drug alone.
