Prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease and Its Association With Clinical Outcome in Patients With...
Coronary Heart DiseaseChronic Kidney DiseaseThis is a prospective, multi-center, hospital-based observational study. The aim of the study is to evaluate the prevalence of chronic kidney disease in patients with stable coronar heart disease.
Contribution of Renal Function to Endothelial Dysfunction in Living Kidney Donors and Transplant...
Disorder Related to Renal TransplantationChronic Kidney Disease1 moreEndothelial dysfunction one-year after transplantation mainly depends on transplant-associated factors and only marginally on reduced renal function. OBJETIVES Primary objective Estimate the contribution of renal dysfunction to endothelial dysfunction in two cohorts of patients, living kidney donors and their transplant recipients. Secondary objectives To evaluate in both cohorts of patients before and after nephrectomy/transplantation the evolution of the following parameters: Renal function (iohexolGFR, proteinuria/microalbuminuria). Blood pressure (24 h ambulatory blood pressure measurement) Surrogate variables of subclinical atherosclerosis (carotid ultrasound, ankle-brachial index, pulse wave velocity). DESIGN Non-interventional, prospective, multicenter, longitudinal study of two cohorts: living kidney donors and their transplant recipients.
The Lolland-Falster Health Study
Impaired HealthDisease13 moreThe study is a epidemiological, cross-sectional study in a mainly rural area of Denmark in Denmark. Life expectancy is shorter, morbidity is higher, and social problems more prevalent than in the urban areas of the country. The population study aims at examining complexities of environmental, hereditary, lifestyle, and social factors as determinants and predisposing factors for morbidity, health, and quality of life. The study will cover physical, mental, and social dimensions and examine family patterns and subgroups. The study will provide baseline information for later follow-up.
Systematic Study of Parameters of Chronic Kidney Disease Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD)
Renal OsteodystrophyBone and mineral disease is a key problem in patients with kidney disease. The available clinical parameters are non-specific, unproven for the assessment of the bone metabolism and do not reflect the complexity and diversity of the underlying bone pathology. The aim of this study is to use bone histology, novel bone markers and bone imaging results to establish a reliable decision model (diagnostic tool) that can be used to guide the individual therapy.
Systemic Redesign and Demonstration for Early Detection, Evaluation and Management of Chronic Kidney...
Chronic Kidney DiseasesBased on clinical evidence based medicine and organizational management model, investigators redesign the prevention and treatment of chronic kidney disease of public health system in Shanghai China. The investigators hope to find early chronic kidney disease, prevention and clinical intervention of orderly combination. The advantages of this system were confirmed by comparing the prevalence rate, awareness rate and treatment rate before and after the completion of the system.
Follow-up of Long-term Renal Function After Acute Kidney Injury in ICU
Acute Kidney InjuriesQuality of Life2 moreAcute kidney injury (AKI) involves poor prognosis in ICU patients. The renal prognosis at long term is unknown. The study will determine chronic kidney injury incidence and quality of life, five years after AK during ICU stay.
Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction in Chronic Kidney Disease
Kidney DiseaseChronic1 moreThis is an observational study assessing coronary microvascular function in healthy controls with normal kidney function, living kidney donors, pre-dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease stage 5 and patients on peritoneal dialysis.
Morphological Changes of the Brain by MRI in Chronic Kidney Disease
Chronic Kidney Disease Requiring Chronic DialysisThe purpose of this study is to describe brain´s morphological changes induced by chronic kidney disease (CKD) in advanced stages (stages 4 and 5 defined by KDOQI guidelines) and also by haemodialysis using MRI. Based on the hypothesis that hypotension may cause damage in some organs including brain the investigators study if intradialytic hypotension (IDH) causes any type of changes in gray and white matter of the brain.
Physical Activity Level in Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease During COVID-19 Pandemic
Covid19Chronic Kidney DiseasesIn the literature, there are no studies evaluating fear of COVID-19, anxiety, depression, physical activity, fear of movement and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease during COVID-19 pandemic. The investigators will evaluate these parameters in patients with chronic kidney disease and compare the findings of healthy individuals during COVID-19 pandemic
Pulmonary Hypertension Prevention in Hemodialysis
Chronic Kidney DiseasePulmonary hypertension is a new complication described in hemodialysis patients. in the last year these patients were treated by calcium carbonate orally to control serum phosphor. Calcium phosphor deposits in pulmonary artery can explain this phenomena. The investigators want to investigate the new phosphor non calcium containing agents in hemodialysis patients and to measure the pulmonary pressure.
