Primary goal of the research is to determine whether injury/illness occurrence is influenced by the academic, training and competition loads, as well as the overall load (sum of academic/work, training and competition loads) in elite handball athletes To examine whether subjective measures of perceived overall stress correlate with objectively measured levels of stress. Determine the benefits of certain biomarkers to monitor stress, load and injury/illness occurrence in athletes.

The study will be carried out during pharmacist-conducted medication reconciliation. The pharmacist will ask how the patient has been taking the prescribed medicines and whether any over-the-counter medicines and food supplements have been used for self-medication. The data will be analyzed for descriptive statistics to identify 1) the number of discrepancies between the physician's prescription orders and the patient's self-reported use of the medicines, 2) what kind of discrepancies there are, and 3) which of them negatively influence patients' medicine taking.

The associations between food nutrition and safety factors with the risk of chronic diseases are still unclear. This study is conducted in Jinhua, a city with a high prevalence of chronic diseases in China, to assess relations between food nutrition and safety factors and chronic diseases.

In Republic of Korea, it is not easy to practice standard pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) or cardiac rehabilitation (CR). In this study, the investigators will provide newly developed smartphone application to patients with chronic respiratory, cardiac, or geriatric diseases. The investigators want to confirm whether participants, who perform smartphone application based 12-week PR or CR program, present improved exercise capacity, dyspnea symptom, muscle strength, or quality of life.

Purpose of study: Establishing population pharmacokinetic - pharmacodynamic models of chronic disease therapeutics for smoking patients to investigate the effects of gender, age, body weight, liver function, kidney function, nicotine, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon related metabolic enzymes and drug related metabolic enzymes gene polymorphism on steady-state drug concentration and efficacy in chronic smoking patients after taking drugs. Object of study: Smoking and non-smoking patients taking levamlodipine besylate tablets or metformin sustained-release tablets.

The human gut microbiome has been associated with many health factors but variability between studies limits the exploration of effects between them. This study aims to systematically characterize the gut microbiota of various critical chronic diseases, compare the similarities and differences of the microbiome signatures linked to different regions and diseases, and further investigate their impacts on microbiota-based diagnostic models.

The researchers plain to build a large-scale, longitudinal, prospective cohort characterized by TCM dampness syndrome. With the biobank of this cohort the investigators want to find the causality between TCM dampness syndrome and clinical chronic diseases and a new way to treat clinical disease.

This trial collects and analyzes sweat and saliva samples compared to blood in detecting chemical concentrations in the body in patients with chronic or infectious diseases receiving medications. Wearable sweat sensors are capable of monitoring electrolytes and metabolites (sodium, potassium, glucose, lactate, etc.) for health monitoring and disease diagnosis. Designing wearable sweat sensors capable of providing information regarding drug administration may be challenging due to ultralow concentrations in biofluids. This trial seeks to determine if the use of a smart wristband can accurately measure the levels of chemicals and substances in sweat.

This study is to analyse the effect of a bundle of measures on the proportion of females being screened for cervical cancer in the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO), comparing the time period before implementation (01/2017-01/2020) and after implementation (02/2020-06/2022). It is to assess the performance of two novel diagnostic tests (QuantiGene-molecular profiling histology (QG-MPH) and PT Monitor® immunoassay) and established tests (Seegene Anyplex™ II 28 HPV Test and Prevo-check®) as potential triage tests for the development of future clinical decision algorithms for CC screening.
