Prognostic Value of the Immunoscore® Colon Test for Disease Free Survival Stratification in Stage...
Colorectal CancerStage III Colon CancerThe primary objective is to validate that the Immunoscore® test (IS0 to IS4) is able to identify patients with high risk (IS 0-1) of relapse or death whichever occurs first among Stage III patients under oxaliplatin-based adjuvant therapy. Then the prognostic value of Immunoscore® Colon to predict disease free survival (DFS) will be assessed in Stage III patients under Oxaliplatin treatment in each arm of the IDEA trial (6- months and 3-months treatment). Finally, the additive value of the Immunoscore® test to stratify the DFS will be evaluated among standard clinical and biological parameters and tumor features.
The Implication of ctDNA in the Recurrence Surveillance of Stage II and III Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal CancerctDNA1 moreThis study is to evaluate circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a predictive and surveillant method for tumor recurrence in stage II and III colorectal cancer (CRC).

Colorectal Cancer Screening Using Stool DNA-based SDC2 and SFRP2 Methylation Test in China
Colorectal NeoplasmColorectal Cancer4 moreThe primary objective is to determine sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of a bi-target stool DNA testing (the methylation status of SDC2 and SFRP2) for colorectal cancer and advanced precancerous neoplasm(including advanced adenoma and advanced serrated lesions) screening, using colonoscopy as the reference method. Lesions will be confirmed as malignant or precancerous by histopathologic examination. The secondary objective is to compare the performance of the bi-target stool DNA testing to a commercially available fecal immunochemical test (FIT) assay, both with respect to cancer and advanced precancerous neoplasm. Lesions will be confirmed as malignant or precancerous by colonoscopy and histopathologic examination.

Outcomes of Elective Colorectal Cancer Surgery During COVID 19 Pandemic: Implications for Cancer...
Colo-rectal CancerDue to COVID 19 (Corona virus disease)pandemic, majority of surgeries, including surgery for cancer patients got delayed across the globe. Surgeries were limited to emergency set up only. At our institute we tried to perform colorectal cancer surgeries through out the pandemic, albeit in less numbers, as we thought cancer in itself is an emergency setting. we are planning to analyse the prospectively managed database of this particular group of patients over a period of last six 6 months and look out at 30 day post operative morbidity and mortality. Besides we will try to analyse the implications of our decision to carry on with cancer surgeries in terms of number of health care workers who got infected while being involved in primary care of these patients.
Low Rectal Cancer Study (MERCURY II)
AdenocarcinomaAdenocarcinoma19 moreThe MERCURY Study demonstrated the accuracy, feasibility and reproducibility of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to stage rectal cancer in a prospective, multidisciplinary, multi-centre study. However, there were differences in patient outcome, dependent upon the position of the tumour in the rectum and its height above the anal verge. Whilst the outcome was excellent for patients who underwent an anterior resection, the outcome, based upon margin involvement and quality of the specimen, was poor for patients who underwent an abdomino-perineal excision for low rectal cancer. It is proposed that accurate MRI staging pre-operatively will allow the correct patients to receive neo-adjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CRT), and also pre-warn the surgeons if the resection margins appear threatened so that the operation can be modified to take this into account. The primary aims of the Low Rectal Cancer Study (MERCURY II) are to assess the rate of CRM positivity rate in low rectal cancer and to assess the difference in global quality of life at two years post surgery in patients according to plane of surgery with or without sphincter preservation.
