NIPIRESCUE is a national, single-arm, open-label phase II study. The purpose of this work is to verify prospectively what the rate of response after triple chemotherapy with mFOLFIRINOX in patients in IV stage of Colorectal Cancer who have already failed after at least two lines of dual combinations with fluoropyrimidine, oxaliplatin, irinotecan and anti-EGFR if wild-type RAS. Currently at ICESP, patients are frequently re-exposed in third line to double combinations.

Surufatinib With or Wothout Immunotherapy for Advanced Colorectal Cancer in Later Line

Colorectal Neoplasms

This is a single-center, open-label, cohort clinical study to investigate the efficacy and safety of surufatinib with or without immunotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer who failed front-line anti-angiogenic TKI therapy. Patients have to received at least a second-line standard therapy or cannot tolerate other treatments, and have previously failed anti-angiogenic TKIs therapy(including but not limited to: fruquintinib/regorafenib/anlotinib) / apatinib, and are resistant to treatment, disease progression, intolerable toxicity or no continued benefit as assessed by investigator after therapy). Patients who met the eligibility criteria are randomized 1:2 into two cohorts (cohort 1: surufatinib, cohort 2: surufatinib plus immunotherapy) to receive treatment until disease progression, death, unacceptable toxicity, withdrawal of consent by the patient, or decision by the treating physician that discontinuation would be in the patient's best interest. The primary study endpoint was PFS(progression free survival).

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best way to give personalized peptide vaccine in patients with pancreatic or colorectal cancer that has spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment (advanced). Personalized peptide vaccine is a vaccine developed from patient's own tumor cells and blood in order to use as a biological therapy. Biological therapies, such as personalized peptide vaccine may attack tumor cells and stop them from growing or kill them.

A Safety and Effectiveness Study of Pre-operative Artesunate in Stage II/III Colorectal Cancer

This study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of pre-operative artesunate given orally once a day for 14 days prior to surgery in patients with Stage II/III colorectal cancer. Artesunate is an established antimalarial drug with an excellent safety profile, is well tolerated and affordable. A number of laboratory studies and one small pilot clinical study in patients with colorectal cancer have shown that artesunate can reduce the proliferation and growth of cancer cells. Two hundred patients diagnosed with Stage II/III operable colorectal cancer will be randomly allocated to receive oral artesunate 200mg daily or a matching placebo for 14 days prior to surgery. Patients will be followed up closely for 5 years to see if giving artesunate preoperatively reduces the risk of cancer recurring after surgery.
