Use of local anaesthesia during full mouth dental rehabilitation under general anaesthesia is an everyday practice. It enables better control of the post-extraction bleeding and better control of physiological responses. Postoperative numbness and lip and cheek biting can be an undesired side effect. With our research, we aim to compare two different types of local anaesthesia in relation to postoperative side effects. We also aim to assess the oral health-related quality of life after treatment in general anaesthesia to enlighten how full mouth rehabilitation affects a child's life.

The purpose of the Study is to test a higher dose of steroids(Dexamethasone) given just prior to surgery in the setting of Fast-Track Knee surgery with Arthroplasty in a group of expected High Pain Responders and the effect on postoperative pain and postoperative inflammation.

The investigators aimed to investigate postoperative complications associated with Swan-Ganz Catheter based on the clinical data of Wuhan Union Hospital and Wuhan Asian heart hospital for 10 years, including major cardiovascular, respiratory adverse events, ICU time, mechanical ventilation time, length of hospital stay, in-hospital mortality, and 30-day postoperative mortality events.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) Block combined with lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block vs. PENG block combined with wound infiltration for analgesia after elective hip replacement performed with a posters-lateral approach. Half of participants will receive a PENG Block combined with femoral lateral cutaneous nerve block, while the other half will receive PENG Block combined with wound infiltration

The primary aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of post-operatory HFNC in reducing the incidence of hypoxemia after gynecological oncology surgery, compared to the standard application of O2 through a Venturi mask; The secondary objectives are to investigate the occurrence and entity of lung atelectasis, to evaluate diaphragmatic function and respiratory discomfort, and to evaluate the incidence of respiratory complications after seven days in the two groups. Patients will be randomized into two groups: HFNC and Control. The patients will be studied with preoperative lung and diaphragmatic ultrasound. Standard general anesthesia will be administered in the two groups. Ultrasound will be performed at arrival in the recovery room (RR) and before discharge from the RR. In the HFNC group, high-flow O2 will be administered; in the control group standard O2 therapy with Venturi mask will be administered. Arterial blood gas analysis upon arrival in the RR and after two hours of O2 therapy in both groups will be checked. The incidence of post-operative respiratory complications will be monitored in the seven days following surgery.

Dry mouth can easily change the pH value in the mouth, destroy the environment in the mouth, and increase the chance of oral mucosal lesions, ulcers and infections. The physical discomfort can lead to psychological effects such as anxiety, irritability, and irritability. The incidence of dry mouth was 88%, 6-8 hours after abdominal surgery. Although the incidence is high, compared with other complications after surgery (such as: pain, bleeding, etc.), dry mouth after surgery is less important, and is underestimated, unmeasured, unrecorded and untreated. Initiating the motivation of this study, it is hoped that through research to understand the relevant factors causing dry mouth after surgery, and using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) to improve the symptoms of dry mouth after surgery. The first phase is to describe the relevant studies with the aim of understanding the relevant factors that contribute to dry mouth after surgery. This study will understand and pay attention to the post-operative dry mouth. It is hoped that through this study, the problem of dry mouth after surgery will be improved, and the comfort of the recovery period after surgery will be improved, so that patients can get better care and promote the quality of care.

Introduction: Meningomyelocele is a common congenital neural tube defect. To reduce complications, early surgery and a multidisciplinary approach is needed. In this study, the investigators administered platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to newborns with meningomyelocele following corrective surgery to minimize cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage and accelerate the healing of the immature pouch tissue. The investigators compared these with a control group that did not receive PRP. Patients and Methods: Of the 40 newborns who were operated on with the diagnosis of meningomyelocele, 20 patients received PRP after surgical repair, and 20 were followed up without PRP. In the PRP group, 10 of the 20 patients underwent primary defect repair, the other 10 underwent flap repair. In the group that did not receive PRP, primary closure was performed in 14 patients and flap closure in six.

The purpose of the study is to determine if teaching self-hypnosis techniques to patients prior to knee replacement surgery will decrease their pain medication requirements, pain medication side-effects, length of stay in the hospital, readmission rates, pain, anxiety, physical function, satisfaction scores, and cost of admission.

Cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) is an auxiliary antitumor treatment. The investigators aim to evaluate the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy combined with CIK in the treatment of postoperative colorectal cancer patients. And to provide useful reference for the clinical application of CIK in colorectal cancer patients.
