Lymphatic Anomalies Registry for the Assessment of Outcome Data

Lymphatic MalformationGeneralized Lymphatic Anomaly (GLA)8 more

Lymphatic anomalies are a rare subset of vascular anomalies that are poorly understood. the understanding of the natural history, long-term outcomes, risk factors for morbidity and mortality, and the relative benefit of medical therapies and procedures is limited. The goal of this project is to better understand these diseases and improve the care of theses rare patients. To do this, the investigators are conducting an observational study of patients with lymphatic anomalies, including an annual follow-up questionnaire to gather prospective data on mortality, morbidity, treatments, and functionality as well as quality of life.

Supervised Manual Physical Therapy Exercise for Ankle Disability After Motor Vehicle Accidents....

Ankle Deformity

Every year more than 50 million people worldwide are injured due to RTAs which in turn makes it one of the leading causes of disability. During automobile collisions, the lower limbs are the most commonly injured region of the human body. Ankle injuries can be particularly long-lasting, resulting in excessive medical costs, inability to work, and serious psychological distress. Physiotherapists often contribute to the rehabilitation of ankle fractures, which typically starts soon after the period of immobilization. Joint mobilization led to increased ankle movement, improved gait patterns, reduced pain and the number of treatment sessions required, and hastened return to activities when compared with the usual rest, ice, compression, and elevation protocol.

Correction of Multiplanar Deformities Around the Knee With Monolateral External Fixator

Deformities Around the Knee in Pedietrics

Angular deformities around the knee are one of the common cause of presentation at pediatric orthopedic clinic. Although these conditions are commonly benign and self-limiting. The mechanical axis of the lower extremity is a straight line extending from the center of the femoral head to the center of the ankle. The horizontal distance in millimeters from the center of the knee joint to the mechanical axis is the deviation of the mechanical axis. The goal of treatment is to correct malalignment of the lower extremity and perhaps to prevent or delay the onset of osteoarthritis by normalizing the mechanical axis

Pedicle Screw Malposition in Spine Arthrodesis Surgeries With O-ARM-guided Navigation

Spinal FusionSpinal Deformity1 more

Background: Throughout the history of spinal deformity there have been continuous advances in the surgical treatment. Although many techniques have been successfully developed despite the anatomy complex, screw placement still remains difficult with a significant risk of misplaced implants. The O-ARM guided Navigation is a scanner that allows imaging of screws intraoperatively and could be a tool to facilitate screw revision and reduce the occurrence of misplaced implants. Methods: This is a prospective and randomized clinical study that will be carried out at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Piaui, which provides exclusive assistance to patients of the Unified Health System (UHS), in northeastern Brazil.
