Safety Study of Kudiezi(Yueanxin,a Chinese Medicine Injection)Used in Hospitals in China

Coronary Heart DiseaseAngina Pectoris1 more

This study was advocated by institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in October 2011. It was funded by China major scientific and technological specialized specialized project for 'significant new formulation of net drugs'. Kudiezi(Yueanxin) is kind of Chinese Medicine injiection used for treating corinary heart diswese、angina pectoris and stroke in many Chinese hospitals. The purpose of this study is to determine adverse drug events or adverse drug reaction in large sample size 30,000 patients.

Meta-analysis of Fruit and Vegetable Sources and Cardiovascular Outcomes

CHD - Coronary Heart DiseaseCVD - Cerebrovascular Disease1 more

Fruit and vegetables are a cornerstone of healthy dietary patterns and dietary guidelines worldwide. The supporting evidence, however, is largely derived from observational studies of protective associations with cardiovascular disease (CVD) in health-conscious populations or from randomized trials of the effect of specific fruit or vegetable derived nutrients on CVD risk factors. A growing body of literature has influenced a shift away from a focus on single nutrients to a focus on whole foods and dietary patterns. To what extent fruit and vegetables should contribute to dietary patterns for cardiovascular health and whether specific types of fruit or vegetables should be recommended is unclear. Although previous systematic reviews and meta-analyses have elucidated the association between the intake of total and some specific fruit and vegetables with cardiovascular outcomes, a comprehensive synthesis comparing the certainty of the evidence for the different types of fruit and vegetables in relation to a range of cardiovascular outcomes has yet to be completed. We propose to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of the available prospective cohort studies using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach to assess the association between different types of fruit and vegetables and different cardiovascular outcomes that include CVD, coronary heart disease [CHD], and stroke incidence and mortality.

Lifetime Endurance Exercise to Prevent Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary Artery DiseasePhysical Activity1 more

The primary objective of the Master@Heart Trial is to investigate whether lifelong endurance exercise reduces the incidence of non-calcified plaques (both mixed and soft plaques) as compared to late-onset endurance exercise and a non-athletic lifestyle.

The Evaluation of Fractional Flow Reserve and D SPECT for the Intervention of Chronic Total Occlusion...

Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary chronic total occlusions (CTOs) are defined as an occluded coronary vessel with TIMI defined as an occluded coronary vessel with TIMI (Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction) grade flow 0 and an estimated duration of at least 3 months. They are frequently encountered in patients undergoing coronary angiography. The application of contemporary techniques and the use of advanced dedicated equipment lead to high procedural success and low adverse events rates in experienced centers. Fractional flow reserve (FFR) is a validated tool to assess physiological severity of coronary artery disease and have a prognostic role after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). SPECT (Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography) is the golden standard for detection of myocardial ischemia. Recanalization of a CTO leads to a number of anatomical and pathophysiological changes to the coronary circulation. These include anatomical and functional collateral vessels regression and significant lumen enlargement because of recovery of blood flow and restoration of vasomotor tone. The effect of PCI on CTO is unknown. The aim of this study was to assess the functional result of CTO PCI by measuring FFR and D SPECT before and immediately post-CTO PCI and at short-term follow-up.

Effect and Efficacy of Onyx™, Zotarolimus-eluting Stent for Coronary Atherosclerosis

Coronary Artery DiseaseAcute Coronary Syndrome2 more

The objectives of this study are To establish a prospective registry of the whole patients who received percutaneous coronary intervention with Resolute Onyx™ stent. To evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of coronary stenting with the Resolute Onyx™ stent. To compare the long-term efficacy and safety of coronary stenting between the Resolute Onyx™ stent and other contemporary drug-eluting stents which had established their own registry.

Umbrella Review and Updated Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Pulses/Legumes and Incident Cardiometabolic...

Cardiovascular DiseasesCoronary Heart Disease5 more

The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) guidelines have not made any specific recommendations regarding dietary pulses. To update the recommendations, the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group (DNSG) of the EASD commissioned an umbrella review and updated systematic review and meta-analysis using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach to summarize the available evidence from prospective cohort studies of the association between dietary pulses/legumes and cardiometabolic disease outcomes (incident cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension and overweight/obesity).

Coronary Revascularization in Patients With Dialysis in China

Coronary Artery DiseaseDialysis1 more

China patients in end stage renal disease receiving maintenance dialysis have a high risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), with a prevalence of 45.5% approximately, and coronary artery disease (CAD) has been identified as the most common one. It remains unclear that what their treatment status is and whether this group of patients can benefit from revascularization in China. The investigators plan to recruit around 30 hospitals from 7 regions as study centers, which represent different levels of economic development in Mainland China. The detailed information includes demographics, medical history, coronary angiogram, in-hospital treatment and procedures, short-term and long-term outcomes. The aim of the study is to provide the real world knowledge about current status of coronary revascularization and prognosis in patients with CAD and dialysis.
