XIENCE V: SPIRIT WOMEN Sub-study

Coronary Artery StenosisCoronary Arteriosclerosis6 more

The purpose of this Clinical Evaluation is the continued assessment of the XIENCE Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System (XIENCE V® and XIENCE PRIME™ EECSS) with the primary focus on clinical outcomes in the treatment of female patients with de novo coronary artery lesions, and the characterization of the female population undergoing stent implantation with a XIENCE stent.

Biorest Liposomal Alendronate With Stenting sTudy (BLAST)

Coronary Artery Stenosis

The main objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of Liposomal Alendronate in the treatment of de novo stenotic lesions in native coronary arteries in a population undergoing PCI with implantation of a bare metal stent. Study hypothesis: Liposomal Alendronate will reduce in-stent restenosis as compared to placebo.

Spot Drug-Eluting Stenting for Long Coronary Stenoses

Angioplasty

Most doctors who use the new drug-eluting stents for the treatment of long coronary narrowings tend to cover the full length of the lesion with long or multiple stents. The investigators hypothesized that a policy of spot-stenting, i.e., stenting of only the very tight parts of the coronary narrowing, might result in better outcomes by means of avoiding multiple stents that have been associated with significant complications such as late stent thrombosis.

EXecutive RCT: Evaluating XIENCE V® in a Multi Vessel Disease

Coronary DiseaseCoronary Artery Disease2 more

The purpose of this two part study is the assessment of the performance of the XIENCE V® Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System (XIENCE V® EECSS) in the treatment of the specific setting of patients with Multi-Vessel Coronary Artery Disease (MVD).

Paclitaxel Eluting Balloon Versus Drug Eluting Stent in Native Coronary Artery Stenoses of Diabetic...

Coronary StenosisDiabetes Mellitus

The aim of the study is to compare the efficacy of Paclitaxel-eluting PTCA-balloon dilation (SeQuentTM Please) followed by cobalt-chromium stent (CoroflexTM Blue) deployment versus Paclitaxel-eluting stent (TaxusTM LibertéTM) deployment in the treatment of de-novo-stenoses in native coronary arteries (reference diameter:more then 2.5 mm and below 3.5 mm, length of stenosis ≥ 10 mm ≤ 20 mm) of patients with diabetes mellitus for ≥ 3 years for procedural success and preservation of vessel patency. This study is a prospective, randomized, multi-center, two-armed phase-II pilot study conducted in Malaysia and Thailand. 128 diabetes mellitus patients shall complete the study per protocol after random assignment to either of the treatment groups on the order of 20 to 50 patients per center. Diabetes mellitus patients with stable or selected forms of unstable angina or documented ischemia due to a de-novo stenosis in a native coronary artery will be enrolled. Vessels may not supply an entirely infarcted myocardial area. Late lumen loss at 9 months is the primary endpoint.

A Clinical Trials of Quick-Acting Heart Reliever for Moderate Coronary Stenosis

Coronary Artery StenosisCoronary Heart Disease

This study investigates the effective power of angina pectoris after Quick-Acting Heart Reliever and isosorbide dinitrate interventing respectively the patients with moderate coronary stenosis for six months. At the same time, the studying will assess the plaque, myocardial blood-supplying,quality of life and observe the end point of the heart (including the myocardial revascularization, death and myocardial infarction). The purpose is to study the function of the blood-quickening stasis-transforming formula Quick-Acting Heart Reliever for moderate coronary stenosis lesions.
