COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress SyndromeRespiration1 moreFlow controlled ventilation (FCV) is a fairly new mode of mechanical ventilation, consisting of a constant inspiratory and expiratory flow. Inspiration is thus comparable to volume controlled ventilation (VCV). The actively controlled, constant flow during expiration is unique. FCV is known to minimize dissipated energy to the lung [ref] and is therefore supposed to aid in lung protective ventilation. The VICAR study is designed as a prospective single cohort crossover trial. The intervention consists of a sequence of respiratory modes: baseline pressure controlled ventilation (PCV) during 5 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of FCV with an evone respirator (Ventinova Medical B.V., Eindhoven, The Netherlands) and eventually 30 minutes of VCV. Every participant will receive the intervention. Respiratory rate (RR), positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) and inspiratory fraction of oxygen (FiO2) will be held constant. According to the manufacturers guidelines, an I:E ratio of 1:1 will be pursued during FCV. During FCV, the respirator will be set with the same PIP as during baseline PCV. For VCV, the same tidal volume as during baseline PCV will be set.
Generic Testing of Antigen Tests for COVID-19 in Denmark
SARS-CoV2 InfectionCOVID-19 TestingTo evaluate the analytical and clinical sensitivity and specificity of antigen tests performed as oropharyngeal swabs, outer nasal swabs, saliva swabs or breath tests including self-tests for SARS-CoV-2 towards standard RT-PCR testing. For each test 200 SARS-CoV-2 positive and 200 SARS-CoV-2 negative individuals previously defined by RT-PCR are tested. When tested an additional RT-PCR test is performed to verify status. Analytical sensitivity and specificity is determined on 210 SARS-CoV-2 positive samples with known Cq and 100 SARS-CoV-2 negative samples. 30 companies with a total of 55 tests participate in this nationwide study.

V1 was recently suggested to increase mortality in people in the United Kingdom who tested positive for COVID-19 on community screening. Very little is known about V2 infection, including its outcomes relative to other strains. In early 2021, V2 spread to the Grand-Est region (northeastern France). Here, the investigators aimed to report mortality data of patients admitted in ICU between February and April 2021 in 3 hospitals in Grand-Est: Metz, Thionville and Nancy.

COVID-19 Detection Test in Oncology
OncologyEVIDENCE is a non interventional, French, multicenter study. Patients will be screened by local severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) immunoassay in their oncology department (rapid diagnostic test (RDT) or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)). In patients with positive local SARS-CoV-2 immunoassay, a centralized SARS-CoV-2 ELISA will be performed in order to double check the immune response of all patients considered immune by local immunoassay.
