Ivermectin to Prevent Hospitalizations in COVID-19

It is a single-center, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study carried out by the Ministry of Public Health of the Province of Corrientes, Argentina, in coordination with the Corrientes Institute of Cardiology "Juana F. Cabral". Patients who meet all the inclusion criteria and none of the exclusion criteria are randomized via the web system to receive placebo or ivermectin. The need for hospitalization in patients with COVID-19 is assessed as the primary end point. As secondary end points are evaluated: time to hospitalization (in days); use of invasive mechanical ventilation; time to invasive mechanical ventilation (in days); dialysis; all-cause mortality; negative of the swab at 3 ± 1 days and 12 ± 2 days after entering the study and ivermectin safety. Intermediate internal analyzes of study objectives and serious adverse events will be performed, including 125; 250 and 375 patients in order to assess the possible need for early termination of the study. For these intermediate internal analyzes, the Haybittle-Peto rule will be followed, therefore a value of p <0.001 will be considered significant

Background: investigators have seen recently from experience in Western countries with best health care systems that pandemics cannot be managed in hospitals. Investigators have seen ICUs crowded to capacity, healthcare workers being exposed and going to quarantine or dying after exposure to large doses of viral inoculums. Investigators recommend that institutions should register for Clinical trials and consider emergency use of TPE. In Pandemics, time is of essence to avoid mortality by intervening early with available evidence, preferably as part of clinical trial. Scientific rationale: Beyond supportive care, there are currently no proven treatment options for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and related pneumonia, caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). However, literature review has shown that most common cause of death in severe SARS-COV-2 is Cytokine release syndrome and Hemophygocytic Lymphohistocytosis (HLH). In this context, Investigators seek to treat patients who are sick enough to warrant hospitalization prior to the onset of overwhelming disease including a systemic inflammatory response, sepsis, and/or Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

This study seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of a remote training course delivered via interactive voice response (IVR) to the mobile phones of frontline providers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The randomized trial will examine the impact of the training on health workers' knowledge, beliefs and intended behaviors related to COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine administration. Potential enrollees will be consented first, after which the participants assigned to the treatment group will be invited to participate in the training over a one month period, while the control group will receive the intervention following a month delay, which will allow for the comparison of knowledge and beliefs with a group that is controlled for bias introduced by time. We hypothesize that the training will lead to increased knowledge about vaccines, lower vaccine hesitancy, and increased preparedness to administer vaccines among trained health workers.

The aim of the study is to examine the effects of myofascial relaxation technique applied with the telerehabilitation method on pain level, anxiety, depression, sleep, fatigue and kinesiophobia in healthcare workers with and without COVID-19 infection with pain.

This will be an open label, prospective, multi-center, comparative, interventional study to evaluate safety and efficacy of Artemisinin 500 mg in subjects with mild to moderate COVID-19. Initially subjects having mild to moderate COVID-19 will be screened as per predefined eligibility criteria for the study. Eligible 120 subjects will be enrolled to receive treatment with Artemisinin and SOC (Standard of Care as per CLINICAL MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL: COVID-19, Government of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Directorate General of Health Services (EMR Division)) or SOC. Subjects will be randomized in 2:1 ratio. Group 1 will have 80 subjects and Group 2 will have 40 subjects.
