The Study of the Use of Nintedanib in Slowing Lung Disease in Patients With Fibrotic or Non-Fibrotic...

Pulmonary FibrosisInterstitial Lung Disease1 more

This is a collaborative study between Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals and up to 9 other clinical centers across the US to determine the effect of nintedanib on slowing the rate of lung disease in patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and have ongoing lung injury more than 30 days out from their diagnosis. Required one of the following after diagnosis with SARS-CoV-2: supplemental oxygen by nasal cannula, high flow oxygen, non invasive ventilation such as CPAP or BIPAP, or mechanical ventilation or a history of desaturation below 90%.

Efficacy of CONvalescent Plasma in Patients With COVID-19 Treated With Mechanical Ventilation

Covid19Mechanical Ventilation Complication3 more

The principal objective of the CONFIDENT trial is to assess the efficacy of two units (400-500 mL in total) of convalescent plasma, as compared to Standard of Care (SoC), to reduce day-28 mortality in patients with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia who require mechanical ventilation.

ABNCoV2 Vaccine in SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Seronegative and Seropositive Adult Subjects

COVID-19 Disease

An open label phase 2 trial to evaluate safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of the ABNCoV2 vaccine after IM application. The trial will evaluate a homologous prime-boost regimen with 100 µg ABNCoV2 in initially seronegative adult subjects (Group 1), as determined by a qualitative test for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, compared to a single boost vaccination with 100 µg (Group 2) or 50 µg (Group 3) ABNCoV2 in initially seropositive subjects, as defined by a positive qualitative test for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies and a history of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination or previous COVID-19 disease at least 90 days prior to planned trial vaccination.

A Pilot Study of a PhysiOthErapy-based Tailored Intervention for Long COVID (COVID-19)

COVID-19

The purpose of this study is to determine the benefits and feasibility of physiotherapy in the recovery of ongoing symptoms after COVID-19 illness. Long COVID Syndrome (Long COVID) is defined by persistent symptoms (including breathlessness, chest pain and fatigue) after COVID-19 illness that continue for more than 12 weeks and cannot be explained by another diagnosis. The goal of this project is to explore physiotherapy as treatment for patients suffering from Long COVID.
