Multicenter Clinical Study on the Optimal Treatment Protocol and Outcome of Cough Variant Asthma...
Cough Variant AsthmaTo explore the disease outcome prognosis of cough variant asthma by observing the outcomes of cough variant asthma and the effects of Chinese and Western medicine interventions, and to provide a scientific basis for optimizing the treatment protocol of combined traditional and Western medicine for cough variant asthma. This is a multi-center, non-randomized, prospective cohort study. This study started in March 2022 and is going on now. On an informed consent basis, a cohort of 164 patients with diagnosis of CVA are engaged. All patients will receive 8-week treatment (ICS/LABA plus Chinese herbal medicine for trial group while ICS/LABA only for control group) and be observed in next 24 weeks. Patients will be followed up every 2 weeks during treatment period and every 4 weeks in observation. The feasibility and correctness of the study will be supervised by two supervisors. To ensure that participants adhere to their follow-up plans, we remind them of their fixed visiting by phone or message. Additionally, incentives are used to appreciate participants for their cooperation.

Efficacy and Safety of Zihua Wenfei Granules in Treatment of Postinfectious Cough (Wind-cold Invading...
CoughCough is a common symptom of respiratory medicine clinic patients, which has complex etiology and wide-ranging. Cough is usually divided into three categories by time: acute cough, subacute cough and chronic cough. Subacute cough has a 3~8 weeks course of disease. Its main etiology is postinfectious cough, which is mostly secondary to viral infection. The drug in this study is for post-infection cough in subacute cough. After long-term clinical practice, six traditional Chinese medicines, including Aster, Lonicera japonica, Shegan, dried ginger, mango seed and Schizonepeta tenuifolia, were selected to form Zihua Wenfei Zhisou Decoction. This product has the effect of relieving wind, relieving cough, warming the lung and resolving phlegm. It can be used for the cough syndrome caused by Wind-cold invading lungs syndrome. The aim is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Zihua Wenfei Zhisou Granule in the treatment of postinfection cough (wind-cold lung syndrome) with placebo as a control.
A Non-pharmacological Cough Control Therapy
CoughILD2 moreCoughing affects almost all individuals with ILD leading to physical, psychological and social distress and prevents individuals from performing their activities of daily living, working or socialising in public places. Unfortunately, there are no licensed medications available to treat chronic cough and the few drugs that have been tried resulted in little efficacy and significant side effects. Drug-free cough control interventions have shown promise in reducing the severity and impact of coughing on patients' lives but have not been tested in individuals with ILD. This study aims to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of a non-pharmacological cough control therapy, as an adjuvant of pulmonary rehabilitation, in patients with ILD and chronic cough (>8 weeks in duration).
Cough Suppressive Therapy in Patients With Chronic Cough
Chronic CoughIn this randomized, placebo-controlled, interventional study on chronic cough a non-pharmacological cough suppressive therapy is the intervention to be studied, with a control group receiving treatment consisting of general healthy lifestyle advice. The following data will be collected before, after and up to six months after treatment: Standardized questionnaires for diagnosis of background factors, Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ), Work Ability Index (WAI), and cough frequency as well as lung function and biomarkers. The primary treatment effect measurement will be changes in chronic cough-related quality of life, measured by the Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ).
Individualized Diagnosis and Treatment of Extraesophageal Reflux in Patients With Chronic Cough...
Chronic CoughExtraesophageal Reflux3 moreChronic cough is a very unpleasant symptom, significantly reduces the patient's quality of life, and bothers the neighborhood. A very common cause or co-factor of chronic cough is extraesophageal reflux (EER). The aim of the project is the precise diagnosis of EER in patients with chronic cough (in patients with a simultaneously diagnosed allergic cause and without it).
Laryngeal Nerve Block for Chronic Cough
Laryngeal Nerve BlockChronic Neurogenic Cough1 moreThe purpose of this study is to study the potential benefit of treating chronic neurogenic cough by blocking the nerve responsible for the disease with an injection of local anesthetic/steroid mixture versus a placebo.
