The spread of a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) from Wuhan, China, has been fast, and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a pandemic on March 11th, 2020 .It has now spread worldwide and is one of the most severe public health threats.The clinical characteristics of COVID-19 and the likelihood of transmission vertically or during delivery in pregnant women are still unknown.

Risk prediction scores are important tools to support clinical decision-making for patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The objective of this paper was to validate the 4C mortality score, originally developed in the United Kingdom, for a tunisian population, and to examine its performance over time.

The aim of this study was to evaluate for the first time in the Gaza-strip the characteristics and incidence of Upper Extremity Trauma (UET) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants, investigated the characteristics of UET cases, and evaluated the UET primary medical-care. Additionally, also evaluate the obstacles in treating UET in Gaza during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The analgesic and sedation requirements in critically ill patients with COVID-19 have yet to be described. There are various factors that are likely affecting the agents being utilized for analgesia and sedation in these patients with little evidence to guide therapy. In addition, such non-evidence based practice may be leading to an increased incidence of iatrogenic withdrawal. The investigators seek to determine the analgesia and sedation requirements in critically ill patients with COVID-19 and report practice patterns that may be associated with iatrogenic withdrawal in these patients. The contribution of the proposed research will be an understanding of current analgesia and sedation use and weaning in critically ill patients with COVID-19, and practice patterns that may indicate the occurrence of iatrogenic withdrawal. This contribution will be significant because it will determine how analgesics and sedatives are being utilized in critically ill patients with COVID-19, and how their use may be leading to additional morbidity. Data from this initial trial will help support further research on the actual incidence of iatrogenic withdrawal in this patient population. Together such research will help inform practice patterns and therapy recommendations in advance of the next SARS-related outbreak.

Observational study using biological material. The group of subjects in the study is represented by 100 male and female patients hospitalized with COVID-19 symptomatology and 100 non-hospitalized subjects with suspected COVID-19 diagnosis for a total of 200 patients. The expected recruitment time is about 6 months.

The Radiologically Isolated Syndrome (RIS) is defined as incidental Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) abnormalities fulfil the criteria for dissemination in space, suggestive of multiple sclerosis. Nowadays, mandatory vaccination in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) is widely recommended. Regarding COVID19, the absence of specific warnings led to the proposal of vaccination in patients with inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. We aimed to evaluate if COVID19 vaccination or infection increased the risk of clinical conversion to multiple sclerosis or evidence of disease activity (EDA) in a cohort of RIS subjects.

The Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA vaccine was the first to obtain emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on December 11, 2020, followed by the Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccine on December 18, 2020, and the Janssen COVID-19 viral vector vaccine on February 27, 2021. The mRNA vaccines and the viral vector vaccine are designed based on the spike protein of SARS-COV-2. These vaccines had been administered to millions of Americans prior to July 2021.

Socio-demographic factors in relation to the diagnosis of COVID cases are increasingly mentioned in the role of transmission, but unfortunately with a small number of conclusive publications on French data. Our objective is to analyse the distribution of cases according to these factors and their possible role during the first 6 weeks of 2021 when the Alpes Maritimes was the department with the highest incidence rate. The collaboration between ARS06 and the Public Health Department in the field of COVID-19 has made it possible to have a departmental bulletin for monitoring the evolution of the epidemic (incidence, screening, hospitalisation). Knowledge of the socio-demographic, meteorological and environmental factors associated with the transmission of SARS-CoV2 would make it possible to reflect on how to act on these factors and to implement a public health policy.

The impact of cancer surgery during covid epidemic is not clear. The published reports show contradictory findings that extend from no change in mortality to increased mortality, further no data on exposure and outcome of health care worker is available.
