The purpose of this study is to explore the microflora characteristics of different ecological loci and multiple metabolic pathways in Crohn's disease patients with different disease course states.

Patients with Crohn's disease generally have nutritional risks and malnutrition. The investigators will conduct a multicenter cross-sectional study to discover nutritional status and body composition of Chinese adult patients with CD.

A multi-center observational study based at referral centers and community hospitals within the US. Patients' blood will be collected at enrollment for testing with PredictSURE IBD™, which will occur at a later date. Patients will be prospectively followed up for 12 months with clinicians treating according to local standard of care, with a step-up or accelerated step-up regimen. Clinicians and patients will be blinded to the biomarker results.

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory transmural bowel disorder characterized by high rate of postoperative anastomotic complications and recurrences. Surgery itself can influence immunologic function and trigger inflammatory response, which may result in the flare of Crohn's disease soon after surgery (within one month), especially near the anastomosis. Early flare-up of Crohn's disease can negatively impact the outcomes of operation. However, due to the the complexity of perioperative period and dangerous of invasive examine, it is difficult to distinguish disease flare from postoperative complications. In this study, the investigators aim to development a diagnostic method of flare-up within one month after surgery, which can help us to detect and then treat disease flare in time.
