The incidence of inflammatory bowel diseases, (IBD) including Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is increasing in the developing world. Our recent Asia-Pacific population-based study in 8 Asian countries and Australia has demonstrated that Hong Kong and China have amongst the highest disease incidences in Asia while Australia has the equal highest incidence of these diseases in the world. The ENIGMA project comprises three main enteric microbiome domains of central importance to Crohn's disease. Two specific organisms which may play a critical role in disease pathogenesis, including the candidate protective bacterium, and the novel pathogenic candidate, will be characterized and studied in detail. Microbial findings will be related to a detailed assessment of environmental factors that permit microbial changes or expression.

People with Crohn's disease often suffer from sleep problems. Long term, sleep problems may lead to more flares of Crohn's disease or other complications. In general, people with Crohn's disease also report that sleep problems can worsen symptoms of Crohn's disease the next day. In people with other medical problems, research has also shown that having sleep problems can make other things worse, such as pain and inflammation. In this study, the researchers want to understand the treatment of sleep problems in people with Crohn's disease, and what else might improve if sleep gets better. This study will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to treat insomnia symptoms. CBT-I is the recommended treatment for insomnia and has been shown to improve sleep problems, pain, and inflammation in other groups of people. If this study is successful, it will contribute to understanding how to treat insomnia in people with Crohn's disease and how sleep impacts pain and inflammation. Long term, this information will be helpful in understanding how best to take care of people with Crohn's disease.

Cded in remission patients with high calprotectin

The main aim is to learn about the risk of cancer after treatment with darvadstrocel compared to other standards of care in people with Crohn's Disease. In this study, the study doctors will review each participant's past medical records. This study is about collecting existing information only; participants will not receive treatment or need to visit a study doctor during this study.

Time-restricted feeding (TRF) is a dietary regimen involving the consumption of food and liquids within a defined time window with or without additional restriction on dietary composition. TRF has been associated with improvements in inflammation, host metabolism, autophagy, gut microbial composition, and gut permeability. Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease of unknown etiology that likely results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. This proposed study will test the hypothesis that a time-restricted feeding regimen will improve clinical outcomes and favorably influence the gut microbiome in patients with active Crohn's disease. If time-restricted fasting proves beneficial to this patient population then it will pave the way for larger, prospective studies and clinical trials.

The primary reason of this study is to observe current treatment options in participants receiving Vedolizumab, intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC), for IBD in Poland. There is no treatment involved in this study, this is only an observational review of ongoing/initiating treatment data relating to Vedolizumab induction and maintenance treatment for IBD [including Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn's Disease (CD)].

In this study, the investigators want to see if Bacteriotherapy (also referred to as stool transplantation) improves the symptoms and decreases inflammation in children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Examples of IBD are Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Additionally, researchers want to learn whether this experimental therapy delays the need for starting additional medications to treat pediatric IBD.

The primary objective of this study was to demonstrate that tight control of disease activity, using stringent criteria based on Crohn's disease activity Index (CDAI), biomarkers (high sensitivity C-reactive protein [hs-CRP] and fecal calprotectin), and corticosteroid use, improves the rate of mucosal healing 48 weeks after randomization compared with management using less stringent criteria based only on CDAI and corticosteroid use.

Wireless Capsule Endoscopy has been the most reliable diagnostic standard for small bowel Crohn's disease. Endoscopic healing is an important endpoint to measure response to treatment.

This study is looking at the advantage of establishing surgical drainage for Crohn's fistulas and abscesses prior to starting medical therapy.
